The Logitech K380 is a great portable keyboard that makes it easy to type anywhere. It can be used with almost any Bluetooth-enabled device, and its small size makes it easy to take with you. It can connect to multiple devices and has hotkeys for controlling media, but it doesn’t have backlighting or keys that can be programmed to do macros. It’s not hard to type on this keyboard, and the noise it makes is quiet enough for any office. Even though there is software support, there aren’t many ways to change it.
The Logitech K380 is small, portable, and not too heavy. It only takes up 4.88 x 10.98 x 0.63 inches on the coffee table where you’re going to spend the rest of the day. That means it’s small enough to fit your laptop and a cup of coffee without making you feel crowded. It’s also not too heavy.
With the batteries inside, it weighs 423g (14.92oz). It’s a nice-looking keyboard, but not in a flashy way. Instead, it’s simple, so you can easily picture it on the desk of an influential person, no matter what colour it is. It also comes in a few different colours, including lavender lemonade, sand, graphite, off-white, and rose.
Choose the Mac version, which is mostly the same but works better on Macs and gives you the Blueberry option as well. Sad to say, the Logitech K380 doesn’t have backlighting. But that doesn’t stop it from doing what it’s supposed to do.
It does have an LED that lets you know when the battery is low and three LEDs that let you know which device you are connected to. Yes, it has three ways to connect to Bluetooth, and you can switch between them quickly by pressing one of the three Easy-Switch buttons.
Its Bluetooth 3.0 works up to 10m (33ft) away, so you can be pretty far away from your device. And since it works with multiple platforms or operating systems, that device could be your laptop, iPad, phone, PC, or Apple TV.
The quality of typing is good. The keys are stable, and the low profile of the keyboard makes it easy to type for a long time. The keys are a bit closer together than on the Logitech K780, but most people shouldn’t mind.
Typing feels easy and quick, and it shouldn’t make you tired. Scissor switches are used in the Logitech K380 keyboard. There is a noticeable bump that you have to push through, but the overall feeling is still light.
The pre-travel distance on these switches is very short, which can make you make more mistakes if you’re not used to them. It’s a lot like the Logitech K780 in how it feels. Check out the Logitech POP Keys if you like round keycaps but prefer mechanical switches.
