Nearly everyone has seen a video with a Blue Yeti mic in front of someone’s face. The Shure SM7B and the Yeti are two of the most popular streaming microphones. Blue says that millions of them have been sold, which makes it one of the best podcast microphones based on how many people have bought it. The famous design is almost 12 inches tall when it is in its 2.2-pound, bottom-padded desktop stand. From the front, it looks a bit like a person.
The 1.2-pound recording microphone makes a strong impression on the screen. As an added bonus for streamers who like to keep their mics in view of the camera, the standard Yeti comes in blue, silver, teal, red, and black, while the Yeti for The Aurora Collection adds Pink Dawn and White Mist.

Where to get Blue Yeti USB Microphone?
The Yeti has a mini-USB port and a 3.5mm audio jack where headphones can be plugged in. The Volume knob on the front of the device controls how much sound comes out of the headphones, and the red-LED Mute button stops the microphone from coming in. The Gain knob on the back of the mic controls how sensitive it is, and the Pattern switch chooses one of the Yeti’s four pickup patterns, which are internal settings that focus the mic’s audio capture on specific areas in front, behind, or all around it. This Pattern control is a little hard to move, so Blue fixed it in later Yeti upgrades.
If the Blue Yeti USB microphone didn’t sound good, it wouldn’t matter how well it was made or how professional it looked. Basically, any USB microphone will be better than your computer’s internal microphone, but the Yeti takes it to the next level with three internal condenser capsules that are very sensitive and pick up a very clear and detailed sound. If you’re used to microphones that aren’t as good, you might be surprised by how well the Yeti picks up even the quietest sounds, like when you brush crumbs off your jeans or scratch your face, or when soft sounds come from other rooms.
