The Edifier MR4 studio monitors are very good, and not just because they are affordable. They sound great, but they don’t have enough bass (and no sub out to compensate). Even though there is no Bluetooth, there are many ways to connect, so it is just as easy to connect an audio interface as it is to connect a computer.
The Edifier MR4 comes in two colors: white (1) and black (2). The one we have is the second type, which looks all black because both the tweeter and the woofer are black. If you like lighter colors, you can get the Edifier MR4 in white with black drivers for a bright, contrasting look. The Edifier MR4 has four round rubber feet that raise the bottom and help with grip and vibration.

Where to get Edifier MR4 Powered Studio Monitor Speakers?
The Edifier MR4’s drivers are housed in a two-piece cabinet made of MDF wood and plastic on the front. The design is very simple and boxy. We like how simple the MR4 from Edifier looks. The quality of the build is great, and the MDF wood feels solid and not thin. The speakers weigh a total of 4.5kg and are about as tall as an iPad Pro 10.5-inch. The speakers should be the right size for a desk that is 1.2m long. The front dial on the right speaker works as both a volume rocker and a step-by-step power button. The start and end points are fixed.
There are three inputs: (1) RCA, (2) 3.5mm AUX, and (3) TRS. We would suggest using the RCA or TRS inputs, which are on the back of the speaker unit. And only use the front 3.5mm when you need it. Edifier included a 3.5mm to RCA audio cable in the box, so it is easy to connect to your PC or laptop. The Edifier MR4 doesn’t have Bluetooth, so keep in mind that this is a strict plug-and-play speaker setup.
