The Galaxy Z Flip 4 has a lot of changes that make it better, like a hinge that is thinner and lighter and edges that are flatter. The new Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor makes sure that the Flip 4 shines in every task. It has a much longer life. The cameras are good, especially the night mode, but they aren’t good enough to be worth $999.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 don’t have the same processor as the S22 series that came out earlier this year. Instead, they have the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, which is slightly faster and more efficient than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. There is no support for the S Pen stylus or Samsung Dex, like there is on the Z Fold 4. The battery has gone from 3,300mAh to 3,700mAh, which is much better. It also charges faster at 25W instead of 18W, which it used to do.

Where to buy Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4?
First, the Flip 4 has thinner metal edges around the glass on the back, which makes it look more elegant. The second difference is that the new model’s aluminium frame is shiny, while the old model’s aluminium frame was matte. At the same time, the Flip 4 has a matte finish on the back glass, while the Flip 3 has a glossy finish.
But other than that, the design of the Flip 4 isn’t very different. The front of the phone still has the same small 1.9-inch screen, and opening and closing it still feels mostly the same (both phones can stay kind of locked at any angle from about 30-ish to about 120-ish degrees).
The fingerprint scanner is built into the power button, which is on the right side of the phone.
In tests, it took about 1.25 hours for a generic 27W PD charger to charge the Flip 4’s small battery back to full. But our past experience with Samsung’s official power adapters showed that, even though they have a low wattage, they are somehow set up to charge Samsung phones faster than adapters made by other companies.
The cameras on the Galaxy Z Flip 4 are another thing that hasn’t changed much. Samsung seems to have kept the same camera setup as before. There are two 12-megapixel sensors on the back for the main and ultra-wide-angle cameras, and a 10-megapixel selfie camera is built into the screen. There is one small change, though, and it has to do with the main camera. It now seems to have a bigger sensor and larger pixels than the Z Flip 3 (1.8m vs. 1.2m). Samsung has kept its OIS as well.
