The Garmin vivoactive 4 is a fitness watch that comes after the very popular Vivoactive 3 and Vivoactive 3 Music. It’s a multisport fitness watch that fits somewhere in the middle of Garmin’s lineup. It’s more advanced than, say, the basic Vivomove 3 or Vivosmart 5.
The Garmin vivoactive 4 is made for hikers, runners, swimmers, and other outdoor enthusiasts who don’t want to spend nearly $1,000 on a specialised outdoor watch. It’s Garmin’s “everything but the kitchen sink” device that costs less. If you spend a lot of time outside doing different things, this is the right tool for you.

Where to get Garmin vivoactive 4 Smartwatch?
The Vivoactive 4 is different from its predecessor, the Vivoactive 3, in two important ways. The first is size. Garmin’s newest smartwatch is available in two sizes: 40 mm and 45 mm. The Vivoactive 3 only came in one size, which was 43 mm. That makes the Vivoactive 4 more appealing to a wider range of people. The 40-mm version, which Garmin calls the Vivoactive 4S, was the right size for my small wrist when I tried it out.
During exercise, the screen of the Vivoactive 4 is used to look at different screens of information. But you use the buttons to pause and stop tracking. You might think that the Garmin Vivoactive 4 feels more like a smartwatch than the Forerunners and Fenix products, which are more focused on sports. But the interface is pretty much the same here.
Garmin has always put battery life above all else when making smartwatches, and the Vivoactive 4 is no different. During my tests, the Vivoactive 4s lasted about 4 days with music playing and GPS turned on during several 3.6-mile runs. In smartwatch mode, it can last up to 7 days. Garmin says that a charge for the bigger Vivoactive 4 lasts about eight days. If battery life is important to you, you should look at the Vivoactive 4 instead of the Apple Watch Series 5.
