Where to get JBL GO 3?
It’s impressive how well it’s made. Like the JBL Clip 4, its materials feel solid, and a tight net wraps around most of the speaker and its carrying strap. The sides and back are made of rubber. It also has an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, which means it can be submerged in up to one metre of water for 30 minutes without getting damaged.
The JBL GO 3 is very easy to carry around. It’s easy to carry with one hand, and you can use the strap that comes with it to attach it to your bag or hang it from a hook. You can turn the speaker on or off, connect it to a Bluetooth device, play or pause music, and change the volume. If you press the Play button twice, it goes to the next track, but you can’t go back to the previous track. The buttons are easy to press, and you can hear when the volume is at its highest and when you’re in pairing mode. Also, when the battery is low, a small light blinks.
On songs with a lot of sub-bass, like “Silent Shout” by The Knife, the Go 3 has a good amount of thump for its size. Unsurprisingly, the first hits of the drum loop have the most bass depth, while the much deeper sub-bass hits that come in at 15 seconds are just thin taps. Overall, though, the speaker doesn’t sound too thin, and this track has a good amount of bass and body. Even when the enclosure is vibrating strongly and the volume is turned all the way up, the driver doesn’t distort.
