In our evaluation, the Core i7-1165G7-based 2021 model from the previous year scored an impressive 88%. Now, LG has released its promising successor. The primary distinctions and enhancements consist of a matte display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and a 16:10 aspect ratio (still only 60 Hz).
Even on paper, the upgrade to the CPU appears to be significant. Instead of a quad-core Intel Tiger Lake processor, the 2022 iteration employs a 12-core Intel Alder Lake Core i5-1240P. The remaining Gram 14Z90Q specifications are less intriguing. 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB NVMe SSD are standard at the $1,000 price point (the device begins at about $1080 USD). Windows 11 Home is the finest operating system available.

Where to get LG gram 14T90Q?
The selection of connectors is identical to the previous model. The left side of the device features an audio jack, an HDMI output (with an unspecified version), and two USB 4 type-C interfaces with Power Delivery and DisplayPort or Thunderbolt 4. A microSD card reader, two conventional USB 3.2 type-A ports, and a Kensington lock are located on the right side. Since the ports are located on both sides near the rear, using an external mouse should not be impeded by cables.
The card reader performs about averagely. With a photo transfer rate of nearly 70 MB/s, our test unit could easily be misconstrued for the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro 14. Only the Dell Latitude 7420 can significantly outperform its competitors (nearly 200 MB/s). An Intel module administers a wireless network. The Wi-Fi 6E AX211 has an excellent range when paired with our new Asus reference router, for which we have no competitor data. When data is transmitted from a distance of 1 meter (3.28 feet), a transfer rate of 1700 Mb/s should not be criticized.
