The Galaxy S22 Ultra demonstrates that Samsung understands the needs of power consumers. This new beast combines the best features of the Galaxy Note with a plethora of enhancements. Yes, the S Pen is integrated, but this Samsung flagship phone has a lot more going on as the company attempts to top our list of best smartphones. Samsung made the S Pen 70% faster and less laggy, which makes it simpler to use. Additionally, the screen is brighter and has more colors than any other device we’ve tested. In addition, the 45W charging is quicker.
The 6.8-inch Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is a gorgeous device, but it does not resemble the Galaxy S22 Plus in any significant way. Since the Galaxy S22 Ultra is based on the Note, this is the case. It builds on the design of the original Galaxy Note 10, but with even higher-quality materials. The structure is composed of solid Armor Aluminum, which is inflexible. The metal is sandwiched between two Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ slabs. The exterior has been polished to almost resemble chrome.

Where to get SAMSUNG Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone?
Both the glossy front glass and the satin rear glass are effective at preventing fingerprints. The water we sprayed on the phone did not affect its IP68-rated body. The above finishes are available in seven color options: Phantom Black, Phantom White, Burgundy, Green, Graphite, Sky Blue, and Red. The dark green is attractive, but we’re in love with the Phantom Black on our test device. Both the device’s top and underside have flat surfaces. The top plane is predominantly a solid piece of metal, with only a small microphone hole drilled into it. The SIM card compartment, USB-C charging port, speaker grille, and S Pen are all located on the phone’s underside. The device includes a USB-C cable but not a charging adapter.
Another excellent feature is the 6.8-inch AMOLED display. It supports resolutions as high as 3088 x 1440 pixels (WQHD+), or 500 pixels per inch. In contrast, the iPhone 13 Pro Max’s 6.7-inch, 2778 x 1284-pixel display has a pixel density of 458ppi. Samsung claims that the S22 Ultra’s default resolution of 2316 x 1080 (FHD+) consumes slightly less battery life. Midway through our testing, we switched to WQHD+ and did not observe a significant decrease in battery performance.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset is not significantly quicker than the Snapdragon 888 processor from the previous year. Compared to the model from the previous year, our evaluations indicate that the CPU is 9–13% faster and the GPU is roughly 20% faster. Aside from the quicker S Pen, the phone does not feel more responsive than the S21 or Note 20 Ultra. Several benchmark evaluations also place it below the iPhone 13 series.
