Sennheiser MOMENTUM 4 Wireless are great for traveling and commuting. These headphones are well made and can play music for more than 60 hours straight. They are also comfortable enough to wear for long days on the go. They also come with a sturdy hard carrying case to help protect the headphones when not in use.
Even though they have an ANC system that can help block out some background noise, they have trouble getting rid of the low rumble of bus and plane engines, which is a bit frustrating. But when it comes to small talk with passengers, they do a better job.
The fact that Sennheiser put so many headlines on the Momentum 4 Wireless’s specs sheet is another sign of this. It’s hard to look past the 60-hour battery life that is said to be possible. This is true even when Bluetooth and active noise cancellation are turned on. This impressive figure is twice that of many rivals, with the Sony XM4 and XM5 offering 30 hours and the two pairs of Boses between 24 and 30 hours.

Where to get Sennheiser Momentum 4?
How has Sennheiser managed to deliver such endurance (which does reasonably translate from paper to practice, by the way)? By cleverly implementing the amplifiers, apparently. It’s not often that we only have to charge a pair of headphones once during testing, and those who use their wireless headphones often will surely be grateful for this.
It helps, too, that an automatic function powers down the headphones once they have been inactive for 15 minutes, with a touch able to wake them up. Still, it’s good to know that you can listen to them wired without a battery if you ever need to. You can use the 2.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable that comes with them or a USB-C to USB-C cable (not supplied). A USB-C charging cable, a good old airplane adapter, and a nice fabric hardshell case are also included in the box.
The headphones also support aptX Adaptive, which is one of the best Bluetooth codecs and is backwards compatible with aptX if you don’t have one of the few devices that support the newer Adaptive codec. The new Momentums also work with Bluetooth 5.2, which means, among other things, that they can connect to multiple Bluetooth devices at once and make it easier to switch between them.
