The TCL 20 Pro 5G doesn’t have specs that are as good as other phones, but it makes up for that with a great design. This is a good trade-off. Even though we didn’t like its battery life or how long it took to charge, and we can see how some people might not like its 60Hz display, we think the phone’s good looks, its display technology, and its smart selfie camera more than make up for its flaws.
Some people might find it hard to reach the side buttons on the TCL 20 Pro 5G because of how big it is, but we didn’t have any trouble. But the edges of the screen are curved, so the phone is pretty easy to hold. The phone has a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The power button, volume rocker, and a custom button are all on the right side. You can choose what this button does when it is pressed, double-tapped, or held, and we found it very helpful to map common functions to it.

Where to get TCL 20 Pro?
The turquoise glass shell on the back of the phone makes it look pretty good. There is also a gray version of the phone, but we can’t say how it looks because photos don’t really show it. You have to see it to understand.
The lenses on the TCL 20 Pro 5G are flush with the back of the phone, which makes it feel smoother to hold than some other phones with camera bumps. It weighs 190g and is 9mm thick, which is about average, but the lack of a camera bump makes it feel slimmer.
How waterproof is the TCL 20 Pro 5G? It doesn’t look like it has one, so I wouldn’t take it swimming. The top-center of the 6.7-inch AMOLED screen on the TCL 20 Pro 5G is cut out for the front-facing camera. We’ve already said that the screen’s edges are curved, which is a pretty high-end feature for a phone this price, though not everyone likes it.
The resolution is FHD+, but the refresh rate is only 60Hz, which might disappoint some people since even cheap phones in 2021 can get 120Hz. TCL is probably counting on the fact that some people don’t care about how fast the screen refreshes.
We thought the screen looked pretty good. The AMOLED technology gives it bright colors and good contrast, but TCL’s NXTVISION technology from its TVs is the cherry on top. This digitally improves the quality of content by making games and videos look HDR and by changing the way images look to make them look better.
