The StormBox Blast is a tank. It is about 8.9 inches tall, 16 inches wide, and 6.4 inches deep, and it weighs 11.6 pounds. The speaker takes up a lot of room and feels heavy to carry around. Rubber feet keep it in place when set down. It is made of hard black plastic and has a handle on top. Front and center, there are two rows of 15 LEDs that frame the grille. Behind the guard, there are two more LEDs that light up the drivers.
The speaker has two tweeters that are 1.2 inches and two woofers that are 4.2 inches. Together, they produce 90W of power and a frequency range of 50Hz to 20kHz. Both ends have two passive radiators that help improve the bass sound. The StormBox Blast works with Bluetooth 5.3, but it only supports the SBC codec that comes with it. At this price, we’d also like to see support for AAC or AptX.

Where to get Tribit StormBox Bluetooth Speaker?
On the top panel, there are two separate volume buttons and a central button that can be used for playing and track navigation. You also get settings for the power, pairing, LED, and XBass. Behind a cover that snaps shut, there is a connection panel on the back. Here, there is a port for the power wire that comes with the speaker, a 3.5mm aux input, and a USB-C port that lets you charge other devices with the speaker’s battery. Other than the power cord, there are no other cables in the box.
The StormBox Blast has an IPX7 grade, which means it is completely waterproof. You can submerge it for 30 minutes at depths of up to 1 meter (3.3 feet). Bluetooth signals don’t work well underwater, but this grade means that the speaker can handle heavy rain, poolside splashes, a mistaken dunking, and pressure from a faucet or hose to clean it. Tribit says that one charge of the StormBox Blast should last about 30 hours, but your results will depend on how loudly you usually listen. This warning is important here because the speaker can get so loud. It’s too bad that the StormBox Blast doesn’t have a microphone. This means you can’t make calls through the device or use the voice aid on your phone.
