The Moto G Power weighs 7.2 ounces and measures 6.6 by 3.0 by 0.4 inches (HWD). The weight is distributed evenly across the plastic chassis. Additionally, the phone’s matte black textured back feels good in the hand, improves grip, and conceals fingerprints and scratches. A flat, 6.5-inch LCD provides the same 1,600-by-720 resolution (269ppi) as the 2021 Moto G Power, but with a quicker 90Hz refresh rate. A small cutout for the 8MP front-facing camera is centred near the top of the display. 720p resolution is the greatest shortcoming here. Even though the screen displays accurate colours, a close inspection reveals pixelation. Even though the viewing angles are excellent, we wish the display was a bit brighter because it is difficult to see in direct sunlight.
The primary sensor on the rear camera module of the Moto G Power has a resolution of 50 megapixels and an aperture of f/1.8. Quad-binning is enabled by default, and the camera produces 12.5MP images with a pixel pitch of 1.3m. The camera module contains the same 2MP macro and depth lenses with f/2.4 aperture as the model from the previous year. Comparable to the low-light photography capabilities of other smartphones in this price range. Many of our test photographs lack depth and feature muted hues.
In the majority of test shots, we observed inconsistent blurring in the foreground, some edge noise, and lens flare. The Night Vision mode of the Motorola camera improves the photos’ overall vibrancy and reduces noise, but they still lack a natural depth of field. Motorola claims that the Moto G Power’s 5,000mAh battery will last three days between charges. Unless you’re an extremely frugal user, we estimate that you’ll get about two days, which is nothing to scoff at.
