Today, this article will show you how to install Lynx on Mac and Windows. Lynx was made by the Distributed Computing Group in Academic Computing Services at the University of Kansas. It was first made in 1992 by a team of students and staff at the university as a hypertext browser used only to share campus information as part of a Campus-Wide Information Server and to browse the Gopher space.
The Lynx online browser is easy to set up and use in the Terminal on a Mac. Lynx is a text-based command line web browser. It’s popular in the unix community, but it also has a number of general uses. For example, it’s great if you want to browse the web and read articles in private at work or school, and developers often use it to test accessibility and get a rough idea of how spiders or crawlers see a website.
In Lynx, you can either use the mouse keys to highlight the link you want or number all the links on a page and type in the number of the link you want. SSL and many HTML functions are supported by the latest versions. Tables are set up with spaces, while frames are named and can be looked at as if they were different pages.
