Have you ever wanted to Turn off/on Touch key light on your Samsung Galaxy’s buttons light up? These are sensitive touch keys, and you can change everything about them. There are two buttons on each side of the home button and the fingerprint reader.
One is the back button, and the other is a choice of recently used apps that lets you move around and switch between tasks. These are easy to turn off, make come on when the screen is on, or change the length of time they stay on. Samsung’s new top-of-the-line gadgets are really great. The Samsung Galaxy and Galaxy Edge are two gadgets that everyone wants to have.
Both are made of high-quality materials and run very quickly. Even though Samsung changed a lot about the way its phones look, the metal home button and the capacitive back and recent apps menu keys are still there. By default, when no one is using the phone, the touch keys light up for a certain amount of time and then turn off.
How to Turn off/on Touch key light
- You can go to Settings, tap Display and wallpaper.
- Tap Touch key light duration. Then you have 4 options (same as other Galaxy devices):
- 1.5 seconds. This means touch key light is on and the light goes off after 1.5 seconds. This is the default setting.
- 6 seconds.
- Always off. This option essentially turn off touch key light. The touch key will never be illuminated. This setting will not be overwritten by any other settings.
- Always on. This option turns on the touch key light permanently. It is NOT recommended for most owners.

All that needs to be done is a quick trip to Settings > Display > Touch Key Light Duration. Here’s a picture to help you figure out what to look for. Note that the settings menu may look slightly different depending on your network or if you haven’t updated your Galaxy Sy Edge to Android 7.0 Nougat yet. And that’s it, it’s really that easy.
To use the flashlight, use two fingers to swipe down from the top of the screen. This will open the Quick settings box. Then, tap the button that looks like a flashlight to turn the light on or off.
