India’s leading e-commerce logistics company Delhivery has extended services in Bengaluru with new intracity options.
This aligns with demand for faster and local deliveries in the city, particularly as a result of heavy rains and flooding, which has caused transport networks to go haywire.
Local delivery is the first hyperlocal category launched by Delhivery’s consumer application and will enable customers in Bengaluru to avail Delhivery’s intracity service through the app itself under a new “Local Delivery” section.
The new services offer convenient options for transporting goods across town, whether for personal or business use.
To offer incentive, Delhivery is providing an upto 50% off on the first shipment being booked via this new intracity service.
The move further extends Delhivery’s recent foray into the hyperlocal delivery space. In January 2025, they introduced “Rapid Commerce”, an intracity quick delivery service for businesses, with a two- to four-hour order fulfilment using a network of dark stores.
The Rapid Commerce and Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) brands verticals is not just a strong target as excess food delivery staff becomes available but Sharma’s reappointment also demonstrates an intent to strengthen these faster delivery capabilities.
The launch of these intracity services at this juncture is critical in Bengaluru.
Recent heavy rains and flooding have further disrupted the city of Karachi, demonstrating the importance of resilient and agile logistics solutions.
This move by Delhivery is likely to give a much-needed push to local businesses and ensure that residents have an authentic choice for their hyper-local needs.
Delhivery’s latest financial performance was a surprise partly due to its net profit in Q4 FY25, but even its revenue growth fell slightly below analyst estimates.
But the company pushing boundaries in Ramu microservices world for intra-city as a feature for businesses, and now available for all customers at large metro such as Bangalore is a clear consolidation play to own more than the last mile of the complex but rapidly changing logistics game.
This development has the potential to streamline services for consumers while reaffirming the direct-to-consumer model of Delhivery as a comprehensive logistics service provider with an extensive reach in the region.
