Acer TravelMate P4 review: Design and features
The Acer TravelMate P4 boasts a matte black finish and a robust construction. Its 14-inch Full HD IPS display has rich colors and wide viewing angles. Good key travel and low-light illumination make the keyboard comfortable to type on. The TravelMate P4 has USB 3.1, HDMI, Ethernet, and SD card readers. Acer ProShield Security software, a fingerprint reader, and TPM 2.0 enhance security. Intel Core processors, 32GB RAM, and 1TB SSDs power the laptop. For mobile productivity, it boasts rapid charging and a long battery life. The Acer TravelMate P4 is a good laptop for businesspeople and students. You can buy this laptop from its official website
Acer TravelMate P4: Display
Even when the light is turned all the way up, the screen is dim and the colors are dull. The contrast isn’t too bad, and the fine details are clear enough without any distracting pixelation around the edges of the letters. But this screen is hard to see from different angles, and the weak lighting makes white backgrounds look gray. Even in a bright room, the screen is hard on the eyes and makes the Acer look more like a cheap Chromebook than a work laptop.
Keyboard and trackpad
The speakers on either side of the keyboard make a loud but hollow sound. If you use the music setting in the DTS Audio Processing software, it’s not too bad, but the sound gets harsh and tinny if you choose movies or games or mess with the equalizer. Unfortunately, Acer’s sound system doesn’t make much bass at all, and you can barely hear songs that overlap.
The keyboard is backlit, but not very strongly, and the number pad on the right side is a little tight. Because there are no Home, End, Page Up, or Page Down keys, you have to use the 7, 1, 9, and 3 keys, with Num Lock turned off, to do those things.
Acer TravelMate P4: Performance
The last part of our productivity test is Puget Systems’ PugetBench for Photoshop. It uses Adobe’s famous image editor, Creative Cloud version 22, to measure a PC’s performance in content creation and multimedia apps. It is an automated extension that can open, rotate, resize, and save a picture, as well as apply masks, gradient fills, and filters.
Acer TravelMate P4: Heat
Overall, the 14-inch only gets a little bit hot. When the hardware is working hard, the case gets a little warmer at times, but the body is always warm to the touch. The temps of the CPU are nothing to worry about.
Acer TravelMate P4: Battery Life
The laptop’s lengthy battery life is a definite plus. With the Windows 10 “Better Performance” power profile and the screen brightness set to 75%, I was able to attain a reading of 9 hours and 11 minutes in PCMark 10’s Modern Office benchmark. Again, this is lower than the results of some similarly priced competitors to the Spin P4, but it is still respectable. Price and Availability
Final words
The laptop isn’t made to keep doing well for a long time. The Core i5 processor can handle short bursts of load with a lot of working power, but it has to slow down when the load stays high for a long time. The TravelMate is easy to take with you because it weighs about 1.4 kg and has a real-world power life of about 10 hours.

faqs
The Acer TravelMate P6 has all the features a work laptop should have. Sure, 12th-gen computers are better than 11th-gen, and I’m sure Acer will update the product at some point. But still, this thing is almost great as a way to get work done on the go.
The aluminum-magnesium body and 14-inch WUXGA (1920 x 1200) IPS anti-glare touchscreen display with pen on this convertible laptop are meant to give modern workers a light device that gets things done.
