The AnkerWork B600 Video Bar is a high-quality webcam, but its goals are different from what I’m used to seeing. This camera doesn’t have a 4K resolution or an onboard processor. Instead, it has a 1440p sensor that isn’t as powerful, but it’s made up for by an impressively powerful and customizable light bar, a built-in speaker, AI auto-framing, a powerful app for managing detailed settings, and touch controls on the camera itself for making quick changes to broader settings.
When you combine all of these features with the fairly standard but still notable four built-in mics, you have a strong all-in-one conferencing solution. Many video chats and streaming services don’t support such a high quality, so these features might be more useful on the best webcams than 4K.

AnkerWork B600 Video Bar review: Design
Once you get over how big the device is (it’s just over 18cm or 7 inches long), the next thing you’ll notice is how sturdy it is and how well-made the fabric cover is. There are two USB-C connectors on the back, which makes it a little strange to join. (one for power, one for data, clearly marked).
There is also a USB-A port that works with some Anker devices we didn’t test). If the camera is sitting on a monitor, opening and closing the flap will always make you think of that, but the hinge itself is perfectly balanced. All of the settings on the camera can be used by tapping them with your finger. The mute button is on the left, and the light on/off button is on the right. You can also slide your finger along the front to change the brightness.
AnkerWork B600 Video Bar review: Software
All Ankerwork devices can be managed with a single app that works on Windows, MacOS, Android, and iOS. This is great news for Chromebook and iPad users. The best word to use to describe the app is “dynamic,” because its look and options change depending on which goods you connect to it. Just install the program, open it, and tell it to add a product. It will take care of the rest. You can buy this webcam from its official webiste
AnkerWork B600 Video Bar review: Performance
Anker gives the B600 a lot of settings thanks to its long list of features. The B600 Video Bar has touch-sensitive buttons on its body that let you do things like mute the microphone and turn on and off the lightbar. For more detailed changes, you’ll need to use Anker’s free desktop software, which you can download for free.
Like most other high-end webcams on the market, Anker’s software lets you fine-tune the picture settings by changing the color temperature and contrast. The software also has a tab where you can change the brightness of the light and the warmth of the light to make it look cool or warm.
AnkerWork B600 Video Bar review: Video Quality
The first question will always be about how good the movie is. Some marketing scientists seem happy to call 1080P “2K” because the horizontal pixel measurement is almost 2000, but the B600 is better than that! But the zoom isn’t optical, so a 2K image at 95 crops to 1080P at 78, and by the time you get down to 65, the 720P resolution looks noticeably softer on a big screen. This means that, while the auto tracking is good, it can also make the image look softer.
Final Words
When we saw the B600 for the first time in January, we wondered if AnkerWork had made the all-in-one webcam two years too late. The company replied that it had sold dedicated webcams since the start of the pandemic, but that the B600 was its first full-fledged video chat product. And after months of tweaking, AnkerWork now has a video bar that can be used for many different things. The company thinks that this will be a big part of how remote work models continue to change.
