Nothing to changed in the process since the RT-AC68U was released back in December 2013, but little bit required too. You simply connect the router to both power and a phone line and boot it up. No wi-fi password is set by default and when you connect with the router it automatically opens a browser and start the setup wizard.

AC68U is based on the similar chipset as the RT-AC68U does it deliver the same performance? Surprisingly no. In many results, they’re of course within an edge of error, but there were some significant changes. Where positive these are likely down to firmware updates since we evaluate the RT-AC68U and where negative may well be due to interference from the modem though this is speculation.

As such it’s The Best all-in-one router we’ve seen to date.
