The Bang & Olufsen Beosound Emerge is currently available for purchase, and its price in the UK is currently set at £669. Customers in the United States would need to part with $899, while those in Australia will have to pay AU$1449 for the product. That is the price for the gold tone finish of the review sample that we received; when it was first introduced, there was also a less expensive variation available in black anthracite (for £539, $699, or AU$1199) but it is no longer an option.
For a change, then, here is a Bang & Olufsen product that does not have a price that is noticeably higher than the price of the devices that it seeks to compete with. As an example, Bowers & Wilkins, Devialet, and Naim are all brands that provide speakers in this price range; hence, now that B&O has the pricing aspect down pat, all they need to do is perfect the performance side, and the Emerge will be ready for business.

Bang and Olufsen Beosound Emerge: Design
There are many wireless speakers that claim to be bookshelf speakers, but the Beosound Emerge lives up to its name. It’s styled after a book (a large, lavish version, to be sure, but still a book), and Bang & Olufsen claims that its small footprint and wide range of sound make it perfect for a variety of confined spaces. Like a bookcase.
The Emerge is outfitted with about the same level of quality in its materials as one would anticipate from the manufacturer. This speaker has a luxurious appearance thanks to its use of rose gold pearl-blasted aluminium, natural oak, and the omnipresent Kvadrat acoustic material, and it also has a decent amount of tactility. The brand logo ascending the speaker’s spine is a clever design element. You can buy this speaker from its official website
Bang and Olufsen Beosound Emerge: Performance
The B&O Beosound Emerge includes a 101mm bass driver that has a power output of 60W class D, a 37mm mid-range driver that has a power output of 30W class D, and a 15mm tweeter that has a power output of 30W class D. Using the Bang & Olufsen control app, you may adjust the visual EQ on the speaker to achieve the sound that you want.
Because B&O does not specify the codecs that are available, we were only able to test with SBC and AAC. In addition to that, you obtain the Spotify Connect, Apple AirPlay 2, and Chromecast apps. Additionally, you can use the app to stream music from Bang & Olufsen Radio, which is a feature that I didn’t utilize very much. Because it is compatible with Google Assistant and Google Home, it was easy to add it to my living room via the Google Home app. Both Bluetooth and WiFi are available for use in order to play music on the Emerge.
Final Words
There are many things to enjoy about the Beosound Emerge, not the least of which are its amazing form factor and its sound that is convincingly unified. It competes on an equal playing field in terms of price, which is another reason to be jubilant about the situation, despite the fact that there is plenty of other competition in the market.
