The BenQ 3205U USB-C Designer monitor is a gorgeous screen that really impresses us. Since this is a great business monitor, one of the best monitors for picture editing, and one of the best monitors for video editing, we expected a good display with accurate colors. Color accuracy is vital for photo and video editors to ensure colors remain true to whatever medium the image is used for or how the audience will show the video.
Without proper color correction, movies could have colors that aren’t the same throughout or don’t have the right colors when they’re done. When you use this display, the picture on the screen looks clear. The high resolution makes the user interface feel big, and the BenQ Hockey puck makes it easy to move around the interface menu. If you haven’t used a screen with a good resolution.

BenQ PD3205U: Design & Build Quality
The KVM and switching features of this screen also impressed us greatly. We tried out Hockey puck support for USB-C, HDMI, and Displayport switching. We’ve grown fond of the hockey puck controls, so we’re happy to see them maintained in this display. The hockey puck can be adjusted to quickly adjust the monitor’s color space, brightness, and other in-built settings.
BenQ PD3205U: Display
BenQ is a trusted brand because of its reliable color reproduction. The PD3205U is the same as any other. It features a 31.5-inch in-plane switching display that can display up to 99% of the Rec.708 color gamut and conventional RGB colors. The fact that a resolution of 10 bits may represent 1.07 billion colors also contributes to this.
Images with vivid colors and accurate representations of the real world can be downloaded by users. The PD3205U’s resolution of 3840 by 2160 is excellent for a 32-inch screen. It’s also a big aid in video games. It features a PPI of 140, making it ideal for photographers and video editors. Important features are its Pantone Validation and Pantone SkinTone Validation status. Only products that adhere to the color criteria established by the Pantone Matching System will be granted Pantone certification.
Controls and Connections
Bezels, which are the edges of the screen, are getting thinner. This is now commonplace in television displays and is quickly becoming a norm on computer screens. Since the PD3205U’s bottom edge no longer features branding or external controls, the entire front face is now a display panel. The spherical column in the center and the massive base allow for a compact design without sacrificing stability.
To prevent cables from becoming tangled below the screen, the column features a cable management slot. The column’s pliable inside allows for simple relocation while ensuring it maintains its intended height. Tilt and swing adjustments of 11 cm and a full 90° pivot for portrait mode are possible thanks to the mount of the panel.
BenQ PD3205U: Panel
The BenQ PD3205U has a 31.5-inch, 16:9-aspect-ratio IPS display. If you’d rather have a smaller screen, the PD2705U 27″ model is also available. The pixel density is 140 PPI, or pixels per inch, which is equivalent to 4K resolution. I find that 4K allows me to be more productive thanks to its higher pixel density. At a screen size of 31.5 inches, lesser resolutions such as 1440p become readily apparent.
BenQ PD3205U: In Use
Than a good screen, we had no idea what to anticipate from the event. When we plugged in the MacBook that served as our primary tester, we were taken aback. The transition from a screen size of 13 inches on a laptop to a screen size of 32 inches with a high resolution was a significant one.
Due to the extremely high resolution of the screen, even though it was only 32 inches in size, it gave the impression of being much larger. This display works wonderfully as a monitor for regular day-to-day use. There was a lot that we could store there, and there was ample space for us to maneuver things about. We were able to greatly increase our productivity and maintain a tidy workspace thanks to the KVM switch we just discussed.
Final Words
It does not matter what you intend to use it for because it is an excellent display that is priced reasonably. When compared to the cost, the product’s quality is excellent, and the many helpful features more than justify the investment. By pushing a button located on the hockey puck, users who will use this display to edit photographs or films will have the ability to switch between several color profiles.
