One thing about how the keyboard worked right out of the box worried me. Even though it was easy to connect the keyboard to the tablet using magnets, the secondary magnets were a lot weaker than we thought they would be. Like other tablets, the keyboard for the Dell Latitude 7320 sticks to the tablet via a thin line of electrical contacts and a magnet.
The keyboard and tablet are held together by two tiny plastic pegs that clip the two together. With a second hinge, the keyboard can also fold toward the tablet. The 13-inch screen on the Latitude 7320 has 1920 x 1280 pixels and a 3:2 aspect ratio. This makes it a little bit bigger than the Surface Pro 7 Plus and the ThinkPad X12. You’ll enjoy streaming movies and shows when you’re not working because the screen is a little bit bigger and has great color and brightness.
The picture in the trailer for Black Widow was clear and bright. Natasha’s bright red hair stood out on the screen, and the screen caught each strand of hair that sparkled. In the scene where Natasha fights her first battle on the bridge, the smoke and flames were very bright, but the contrast between them made it easy to see details around the bridge.
Keyboard, touchpad and stylus
Similar to the Type Cover for the Surface Pro, the Latitude’s keyboard boasts springy keys that propelled my fingers from one letter to the next as we wrote this review. Traditional clamshell laptop features, such as backlighting with two brightness levels and a standard keyboard layout, are present in this device.
It also avoids the common flaw of tablet keyboards in that its keys aren’t too small for comfortable use by someone with average-sized fingers, like myself. The X12 Detachable has a superior keyboard, and while we wish the keys on the Dell Latitude 7320 were a little bigger as on the Surface Pro 7, typing on it is still a delight.

PC Mark 10 was used to test how well the Dell Latitude 7320 Detachable worked, and it got a score of 4563. That’s a very good score for a tablet, but it’s a little slower than the Lenovo X1 Nano or the Dell XPS 13, which are more performance-focused laptops. Even though we don’t have the Surface Pro 7’s PC Mark 10 scores, its Geekbench scores are much lower than the Latitude’s.
In normal use, the Latitude 7320 didn’t feel slow at all. It worked well with apps like Microsoft Office and Google Docs, and it was fast enough to run large Excel spreadsheets. It did slow down a bit when editing video, and the 256GB SSD in the review unit didn’t leave much space to store video.

This particular Latitude had a battery life of 9 hours and 18 minutes. Even though this will last longer than the Surface Pro 7 Plus, which only lasted 8 hours and 49 minutes, there is a lot of tough competition out there. The Latitude 7320 falls behind both the category average of 10 hours and 4 minutes and the ThinkPad X12 Detachable, which lasted a whopping 11 hours.

The battery life brings up my main problem with the Latitude 7320, which is that it’s expensive for what you get. In almost every way, it’s the same as the Surface, but it costs more. The configuration in the middle costs $1,829. A Surface Pro 7 with the same specs (processor, RAM, and storage) costs $600 less and is often on sale for even less.
