But don’t think that its small size makes it weak. This titan, which looks very small, packs a powerful punch.
Its powerful core hums with the promise of unrestricted speed and unmatched efficiency. If you’re a master at data-crunching, pixel-pushing, or multimedia, the IT12 wants you to leave behind the chains of traditional desktops and enter a new era of computing elegance. Geekom Mini IT12: Design and Features
Although it’s almost 90g heavier than the Mini IT11, the Mini IT12 has a premium and balanced feel and has a good heft to it. The Mini PC is comfortable to hold and move because all edges and corners except the bottom are rounded. The Mini IT12 has two USB4 (Type C) ports, but they’re on the back. I assume this was done to make the Mini IT12’s front look more uniform with its ports, but the Mini IT11’s Type C and USB ports made it great. Three USB3 Gen 3.2 ports and one USB 2.0 port remain on the Mini PC. Its metallic blue/gray exterior is fingerprint-resistant.
It looks like aluminium but is actually plastic over a metal frame. It feels solid and sturdy even without the base. A small hobby screwdriver is enough to unscrew the bottom plate with the four Philips head screws in the centre of each rubber foot, but you may want to use a flat-head screwdriver to prise the plate free, taking care not to damage the ribbon, which is longer than the one in the Mini IT11 and connected to a connector for a full-sized SSD that can be added to a sled on the backplate. You won’t lose the screws because they don’t come loose from the backplate.
Geekom Mini IT12: Connectivity
The Geekom Mini IT12 stands out when it comes to connectivity thanks to its many options. Even though it has four USB Type-A ports, it’s important to know that they only work at USB 2.0 speeds. Two USB-4 ports with Thunderbolt support, on the other hand, make up for this flaw by allowing for fast data transfer and connection to a wide range of external devices. The mini PC’s functionality is greatly improved by this variety.
It can also connect up to four screens via HDMI and Thunderbolt, which makes it more useful for setups with more than one screen. The mini PC also has a great 2.5 GB network connection that makes it easy to connect to the internet quickly and reliably. The device is more useful because it has an SD card reader that works well and improves its connectivity features. This makes the user experience smooth and complete.
Geekom Mini IT12: Processor
A cutting-edge Intel Core i7-1260P processor is included in the Geekom Mini IT12’s configuration. Along with having access to twelve native cores, the system-on-chip (SoC) is also capable of processing a total of sixteen threads. Because of this, the small processor is a reliable foundation for performing complex tasks.
According to the specifications, its power consumption during the short term (PL2) is 64 watts, while its power consumption during the continuous load (PL1) is 28 watts. Our test device’s much lower PL1 value in our test proved to be the reason for its much lower multi-thread performance when compared to both of its Intel NUC competitors.
Geekom Mini IT12: Performance
The Intel Core i7-1260p in the Geekom Mini makes it promise to do all daily tasks perfectly. Its unique mix of P and E cores makes it a flexible System-on-Chip (SoC) that can easily handle complex tasks. It matches the performance standards set by the Intel NUC 12 Pro Kit, which uses the same SoC.
Since the Geekom Mini has both P and E cores, it can adapt to different situations and do well in both everyday tasks and more difficult computer problems. This device shows how powerful the Intel Core i7-1260p is by providing a strong computing experience that meets the high standards set by the Intel NUC 12 Pro Kit.

Final Words
The Geekom Mini IT12 is very small, but it has a powerful punch. The 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processor makes it easy to do both everyday tasks and creative work. The Iris Xe graphics card makes 4K streaming and light gaming smooth. Its small size is great for setups with limited space, and the stylish turquoise colour makes it stand out from other black boxes. The Mini IT12 has some problems, like RAM that can’t be expanded and a big power supply, but it has great performance and connectivity, which makes it a great choice for people who work from home, like media, or even play casual games.
