HP DeskJet 2755e review: Print Speed
In our tests, the DeskJet 2755e printed documents more slowly than the industry standard. It produced a five-page text document at a speed of 7.6 pages per minute in 39.3 seconds (ppm). The average is 8.8 ppm in contrast. The DeskJet also underperformed the industry standard while printing our six-page PDF with a mix of mixed text and color graphics. The HP replicated the document at a 2 ppm rate in 3 minutes and 2 seconds. The industry standard is 2.7 ppm.
The 2755e took 7 minutes and 8 seconds to print an 8 by 10 inch photo at the highest resolution, which is considerably slower. The category average was substantially shorter, clocking in at 4 minutes, 5 seconds. At default settings, the DeskJet produced better 4-by-6-inch photo prints. A little quicker than the average of 1 minute and 48 seconds, the 2755e completed the print in 1 minute and 44 seconds.

While consumers with more fundamental needs will undoubtedly appreciate the great image quality of this affordable DeskJet, the software is too limiting for expert users.
