We put the Apple Watch Ultra competitor through its paces as a smartwatch for everyday use, a workout tool, a health companion, and a tool for outdoor activities like diving and hikes. The result is a watch that is made to compete with Apple’s best smartphones and Garmin’s best watches.
In many ways, it works: the build quality is nothing short of amazing, and the watch looks great—with the right watch face. The Expedition mode is a great piece of UX design for outdoor activities like hiking, trail running, and orienteering, and Huawei Health is a great-looking and very useful app that goes with it.

Design and build

Our unit was a color called “Voyage Blue” and had a strap made of titanium. The body is made of a liquid metal case made of zirconium and a ceramic rim. The screen is protected by sapphire glass. In our box, we also got two hydrogenated nitrile rubber bands, one normal and one that could be worn in different ways. The material is made to last longer and feel better than fluoroelastomer bands on other smartwatches. The Titanium Strap is definitely more stylish and good-looking, but the Rubber Strap is much better for activities outside and working out. You can buy this smartwatch from its official website
Huawei Watch Ultimate: Fitness tracking
Most Huawei gadgets are very accurate when it comes to GNSS and tracking your heart rate. The Huawei Watch Ultimate has a dual-band multi-system GNSS, which means it can get two different signals at different frequencies. This makes it more accurate. The watch also has access to five different satellite systems, so it should be able to pick up satellite signals anywhere in the world.
We wore the Huawei Watch Ultimate in a range of places and weather conditions, and it quickly picked up a GNSS signal each time. During the testing time, we wore other watches like the Coros Apex 2 Pro and the Garmin Fenix 7X, and the Huawei was just as good at tracking my location as those. Also, the heart rate seems to be right on.
Huawei Watch Ultimate: Battery life

With such a big AMOLED screen, the Huawei Watch Ultimate can last for more than two weeks on a single charge. Well, I don’t get why the Apple Watch Ultra can’t last longer than 36 hours, but this isn’t the right review to talk about that.
If you don’t abuse the watch by keeping the screen on all the time and tracking your GPS workouts, it should last longer than two weeks. What Huawei calls “average use” is generally what other smartwatches call “heavy use.” As usual, I turned off SpO2 readings, but even so, you won’t have to charge the watch more than once every two weeks.
Price and availability
The Expedition Black version of the Huawei Watch Ultimate, which has the normal zirconium liquid metal watch face and casing but a plain black silicone strap, costs £699 (about $870 or AU$1,300). At this price, it competes directly with the Apple Watch Ultra. It fills a similar area and has the same build quality as the Apple Watch Ultra.
The Voyage Blue is the next step up in price, and it looks more like a traditional dive watch, like the Omega Seamaster series. It has a deep blue segmented frame, a lighter-colored case, and an aviation-grade titanium strap. It costs £799 and is made in Japan.
Final Words
a grade for the Huawei Watch Ultimate. On the one hand, it’s a state-of-the-art smartwatch that provides all the features you could want and more. However, the average person won’t benefit from the majority of the premium components and daring additions. For 95% of consumers, I believe the Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro is an improvement.
We get that Huawei didn’t design the Watch Ultimate to address a specific need. Instead, it’s meant to be a display of might. As I’ve mentioned before in my assessments of Huawei’s wearables, the business needs to stop hiding in its own or Apple’s shadows.

Questions and Answers
The new Huawei Watch Ultimate modes are fantastic, and the device is also attractive and well-made. On the whole, it’s a fantastic movie.
It’s true that you can use Huawei Watch without a Huawei phone, albeit its features may be limited. Huawei Watches are equipped with Google’s Wear OS software, allowing them to pair wirelessly with Android and iOS devices.
