From my own experience, iDrive is the best cloud backup and storing service I’ve used. It has an extremely easy-to-use package that lets you back up all of your devices, like PCs, Macs, phones, and tablets, from a single account. Individuals can choose from iDrive’s storage plans, which come in capacities of 5TB, 10TB, 20TB, and 50TB. If you’re on a team, they also have plans for you. Hard to say iDrive lacks features. Snapshots helps you keep up to 30 versions of your files, Express lets you put your data on the best hard drives and mail them off, and Full Disc Images enables you rebuild a machine from scratch. iDrive Express provides interim storage for all paid users’ physical backups, which is useful for individuals with poor Internet connectivity.

This is limited to once per year for Personal users and three times for Team and Business subscribers, but additional requests cost $59.95. Other functions are less clear. To save bandwidth, iDrive only uploads updated files; data is kept until you delete it; and you can view full activity logs and reports. User management and remote backup are available to team managers.

Cloud storage characteristics distinguish IDrive from its competitors. Set up sync folders to automatically synchronise their data between devices, double your cloud storage and online backup plan space.

You can place your sync folder wherever and use selective sync to restrict particular files or folders from synchronising to certain devices. Also, the folder need not be part of your regular backup. IDrive makes it easy to share synced or backed-up files. Simply select a file or folder in the online client or desktop software, right-click, and select “share.” Set access privileges for shared file recipients to view or edit.

Only three of IDrive’s plans are for personal use; the remainder are for businesses. Plus, all cloud backup options include cloud storage. So IDrive can be a cloud storage and backup service.

One of my favourite things about iDrive is its extensive feature set. Security measures give peace of mind as it covers a lot of ground. Folder synchronisation and bandwidth limits are useful for numerous use scenarios. Generally, iDrive is stable and feature-rich, meeting most users’ demands.

Even while iDrive has a few kinks to work out, the service as a whole is hard to criticise because of the breadth of its functionality and the consistency with which it performs.
