Bluetooth 5.2 makes the connection, so the earbuds can connect from far away. Even in a building with lots of walls and other Bluetooth signals, we were able to get quite far from our phone before the signal started to break up. To pair, press the button on the front of the case for a long time.
The Marshall Motif ANC are cool-looking true wireless earbuds, no doubt about it. The charging case’s size and logo are reminiscent of the brand’s famous amps, and the earbuds are designed with the company’s M typeface and knurled plastic stems.
With the charging case, you can listen to music for up to 20 hours. This isn’t the best battery life on the market, but it’s also not the worst. If you put the earphones back in their cosy home for 15 minutes, you’ll get an hour of listening time. It takes three hours to fully charge the earphones from empty via USB-C.

Marshall Motif ANC review: Design

These are wonderful. The leather-effect case looks cool, the Marshall logo is iconic and the headphones themselves are all styled with thoughtful design touches that audiophiles will love. Even the USB cable has a textured finish, making this a well-designed product that fits well with the brand it carrie.
The case is water-resistant up to IPX4 and can’t be scratched, so it should last even if you throw your accessories in your bag without thinking. They fit perfectly. They come with two extra sizes of rubber eartips, so you can choose the size that fits you best.
We’ve seen headphones with more options, but unless your ears are really big, you should be able to make these fit well. We didn’t have any trouble with the standard eartips, and we were able to use them normally and while jogging without anything going wrong because of gravity.
Marshall Motif ANC review: Comfort
If you used the right size tip, the Motifs were pretty comfortable to wear. It comes with a medium tip already attached, but Marshall also gives you large and small tips. The medium-sized buds were a little too big for my ears, and if I wore them for too long, they would hurt. Even though they fit better. You can buy this this earbuds from its official website.
Marshall Motif ANC review: Performance

whose songs are complex but still sound good. The Motif ANC lives up to the Marshall name by having a very well-balanced sound stage, with highs and lows that do the instrumentals justice. During the beginning of “Rock You Like a Hurricane,” feel the song building up. In the chorus of Radiohead’s “Creep,” the guitar chords in the background can be picked out from the drums. This is different from how the melody usually sounds, which is crowded and unclear.
Marshall Motif ANC review: Sound quality
The sound is clear and well-defined across the whole range, but I was most impressed by how strong the bass was. While other in-ear headphones often don’t pay attention to this, making it sound like the bottom of your favourite songs has dropped out. But the Motif ANC did a good job of reproducing the lower tones, making the sound as a whole sound fuller.
Marshall Motif ANC review: Battery life and connectivity
The charging case is all black and looks and feels like leather. It also has a traditional flip-top lid. The front has a status LED, and the bottom has a USB-C port. It comes with a USB-C-to-USB-A charging cable, but you can also charge it wirelessly with a Qi-compatible charger.
Marshall thinks that each charge will last about four and a half hours with ANC on or six hours without it. It says that the case gives an extra 20–26 hours of battery life. Your results will, of course, depend on how much you do.
You can fully charge the earphones in about three hours, and a 15-minute charge should give you about an hour of playback time. Marshall says that it takes about three hours to fully charge the battery in the case.
Marshall Motif ANC review: Price and availability
As the name suggests, the Motif ANC has active noise cancellation, the same technology that keeps the AirPods Pro from being a distraction. The earbuds are able to block out outside sounds like birds, rain, and fans because they have built-in microphones that can flip the sound waves.
Even though most wireless earbuds under $100 now have ANC, there is a clear difference between prices. The passive white noise in the $199 Marshall’s is almost silent, but it does a great job. When we walked down the boardwalk in my neighbourhood, the ANC did a good job of making my surroundings fade out and putting the music in the spotlight.
Final Words
The Marshall Motif ANC are a stylish set of true wireless earbuds that sound great. Even though the active noise cancellation and battery life aren’t the best, these buds still look and sound great.
