When you’re looking for a fairly priced smartwatch, it doesn’t get much better than a $119 Moto 360 Sport that’s currently $160 down from its regular asking price. The deal is offered via the Daily Steals website and mainly provides a second-generation Moto 360 with a silicone band, trans–reflective LCD, GPS tracker, and subtle design modifications.
Motorola’s smartwatches are usually very beautiful, style-oriented things. At launch, the original Moto 360 appeared an almost sci-fi take on the smartwatch, whereas the Moto 360 (2015) carried it into the present with a more practical – frankly more normal – yet still beautiful look.
The Moto 360 Sport is approved to IP67 standard. That means you’ll be able to wear it in the shower – I have, and it’s still working. However, Motorola tells it’s not meant to be used while swimming.
To quote the Motorola website: “Withstands immersion in as much as 3 feet of fresh water for up to 30 minutes. Not designed to work while immersed underwater.
The Moto 360 comes with a 1.37-inch display and is controlled by the Snapdragon 400 processor, a 4GB of storage and 512MB RAM. There are Wi-Fi and a 300mAh battery for power supply, and Bluetooth connectivity.
The wearable is dust and water-resistant, and able to track distance and pace, run fitness apps similar to MapMyRun, Under Armour Report, and Strava. It also traces your steps, calories, and heart rate while maintaining you connected to your messages, emails, and Android apps that support smartwatch integration.
