Oppo has had a small footprint in the foldable phone market for years, but the Oppo Find N2 Flip, which was just released, is the company’s first true global foldable phone. It will be available in markets other than China, such as the UK and Europe.
The N2 Flip is looking to expand into new markets, and as Oppo’s first clamshell phone, it hopes to attract a different crowd than the company’s other folding phones. The Oppo Find N and Oppo Find N2 are mostly made for efficiency, with vertical hinges and squared main displays. A clamshell folding phone, on the other hand, is a bit different. A clamshell is designed to be small and stylish.
Oppo Find N2 Flip review: Design and screen

The Oppo Find N2 Flip has the “wow” factor that you feel when you fold the front panel into its closed state, just like other foldables. It looks like any other Android phone when it’s open, so it won’t stand out. However, the clamshell design lets the top half of the smartphone fold down over the bottom half in one move, making it easier to carry around. The process works well every time.
There is also a screen in front. This 3.26-inch screen, which is as big as the one on the back of most digital cameras, mostly shows you the time, date, and battery life. However, if you swipe from right to left, you’ll find some apps that you can customize. We used it to show the weather and a menu that quickly opens the camera. You can add more shortcut tools here, like a calendar and a timer. You can buy this phone from its official website
Oppo Find N2 Flip review: Camera
The Find N2 Flip has three cameras: a 50MP main camera and an 8MP secondary ultrawide camera on the back, and a 32MP punch-hole front-facing camera at the top of the main screen. The N2 Flip’s camera system is led by a Sony IMX890 sensor, which is the same sensor found in OnePlus’s current flagship phone, the OnePlus 11.
However, Oppo’s dedicated MariSilicon X imaging NPU helps the sensor process images. There doesn’t seem to be any optical image stabilization, but Oppo’s camera magic makes it almost impossible to tell, even when comparing stills and videos side-by-side with the Galaxy Z Flip 4.
Oppo Find N2 Flip review: Performance and software

Oppo put the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ processor in the Find N2 Flip. That’s not the newest top-of-the-line chip, but it’s been out for less than a year and is fast enough for most tasks. Everyday use is smooth and fast, with no stuttering or slowing down to be seen, and there’s enough power to play games and make the most of that 120Hz display.
This isn’t the most powerful phone on the market. Both Samsung and Motorola have flip phones that are a little more powerful, but only the most demanding games or power users are likely to find something to complain about.
Oppo Find N2 Flip review: Battery life
Then there’s the core performance: because of its size, the Find N2 Flip can’t fit a battery with as much power as many top phones. But the 4300mAh battery here is pretty good compared to other folding phones. It has more than 16% more power than the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4.
As is always the case with a new phone, the battery life wasn’t great for the first few days, so I kept charging it throughout the day to calm my nerves. Things have calmed down, though, after a full week of work.
Final Words
Even as a die-hard Z Flip fan, we think the Oppo Find N2 Flip is a pretty amazing phone. Still, we think Samsung’s phone looks better, and at the same price, I’d give the Z Flip 4 the edge because it has better software, is waterproof, and can be charged wirelessly.
But, at least in the UK, they are not the same price, and the Oppo choice is hard to beat when you can save between £100 and £200. These small problems are easy to deal with, and the better camera, faster charging, and gapless hinge are a few things that could make you buy this phone right away.

FAQS
The Galaxy Z Flip 4, on the other hand, has an IPX8 rating for water protection. But the crease in the screen of the Oppo is not as noticeable and is almost impossible to see if you look at the screen straight on. You can still feel the gap when you scroll, but it won’t bother you for long.
The top screen on the Oppo Find N2 Flip is a lot of fun to use. The phone works well and the battery lasts long enough. It doesn’t have an official IP grade and can’t be charged wirelessly.
