The Miami-based company that makes the Treblab Z7 Pro headphones has improved on the features that made the Treblab Z2 over-ear headphones a competitive mid-range option for wireless headphones. The result is a set of lightweight, comfortable headphones with great sound quality and a nearly seamless user experience.
At almost half the price of some of the most popular brands on our list of the best headphones, the Treblab Z7 Pro headphones manage to provide a premium experience at a more affordable price. They do this by including features like ANC, touch control, and ambient sound awareness that are usually only found on more expensive headphones.
If you liked the Treblab Z2 headphones, the Treblab Z7 Pro headphones might not be as much of an upgrade as you were hoping for, but they do have 10 more hours of battery life and a much sleeker design. They also keep the comfort and great sound quality that made the Treblab Z2 headphones such a compelling set of over-ear headphones.
Design and Comfort

The Z7 Pro headphones aren’t good enough to win a Red Dot Design Award, but they look good with other business-class headphones like the Sony WH-1000XM3 and XM4 models. The earcups and headband are made of fake leather and have a simple, slate gray design. We could do without the rubber buttons that stick out of the back of the right earcup, but it’s not a deal-breaker because they feel good and add to the quality of the build.
People don’t pay much attention to carrying cases unless they come with expensive wireless headphones. Treblab paid attention to the details and gave us a hard-shell case that not only keeps the Z7 Pro safe but also has a mesh Velcro pouch to hold all the included accessories and any other EDC items you might want to bring along.
At 8.64 ounces, these are some of the lightest noise-canceling headphones on the market. When worn for long periods, the comfort is nice, but the leather can get hot after 3 hours, so take a break between albums. The extenders are a good length, and if you set up the Z7 Pro correctly, they will stay in place on your head. You can buy these headphones from its official website.
Treblab Z7 Pro review: Sound quality
Because that app is missing, there is no way to change the sound output or the controls on the board. In order for the Z7 Pro to stand out, it has to sound different. The headphones have 40mm drivers and support for aptX HD right away. AAC and SBC are the other Bluetooth codecs that are supported.
The outcomes are very good. If you like good bass and want a balanced sound from the mids and highs, the Z7 Pro may surprise you with how lively the mids and highs are. They have a strong sound that booms on the low end and warms up on the high end. This sound stays the same for a wide range of musical tastes.
We tried different types of music and often mixed them up randomly to see if there were big differences. We liked listening to long playlists of hip hop, rock, old school funk, and house music while wearing these headphones. This is another difference between these and the Sonys we keep talking about. You can use them with any app and even change the sound with an EQ. The Z7 Pro don’t play as quickly or with as much depth as the Sonys do, but they’re still impressive for the price.
Treblab Z7 Pro review: Features and Performance

You’ll have to pay a lot more if you want headphones with smart features and sound quality like the Z7-PRO. No other headphones in the same price range have this many features. The Sony WH-XB910N is a close competitor. They also have great sound quality and actively block out noise.
The WH-XB910N are also great noise-canceling headphones, but they cost about $40 more and don’t have as many features. These headphones will sound great and have ANC, ambient mode, and multitouch Bluetooth technology, but they don’t have on-ear detection, auto-pause, or the same long battery life. You will pay less for the TREBLAB Z7-PRO and get more.
Treblab Z7 Pro review: Noise cancelling
For more than three years, the Sony WH-1000XM3 and XM4 were our top picks for wireless headphones. Even though Sony has the great WH-1000XM5, we still recommend the XM3 and XM4 because they’re still great and less expensive than Sony’s new top model. But is it possible to spend even less and still have an XM3/XM4 experience? Even if you’ve never heard of Treblab, one look at its noise-canceling Z7 Pro headphones should be enough to show you that the company has made it its mission to give a resounding “yes” to that question.
Treblab Z7 Pro review: Battery Life
A battery life of more than 45 hours is a bold claim for any wireless headphones or earbuds, but after using the Treblab Z7 Pro headphones every day for a few days, I’m not likely to doubt it. Even though turning on ANC can cut that time by more than half, 20 hours is still a very good battery life for headphones like this. If you run out of power, just connect the USB-C cable to the headphones and a charging port that works with it, and you’ll be good to go in about 2.5 hours.
Price and Availability
The Treblab Z7 Pro can be bought for $160 from Treblab or from big online stores like Amazon. There is only black to choose from. The 3.5mm audio cable, carrying case, USB-C charging cable, and user manual are all in the box. Many options with similar performance cost about the same as the mid-range price point.
The $129 Cleer Enduro ANC headphones come to mind. They are currently No. 1 on our list of the best cheap noise-canceling headphones. If you need top-notch sound and ANC, you should also think about high-end noise-canceling headphones like the $379 Bose 700 and the $349 Sony WH-1000XM4.
Treblab Z7 Pro review: Final words
The TREBLAB Z7 Pro are hybrid active noise canceling (ANC) headphones in the middle of the range. The only other over-ear headphones from this brand are the TREBLAB Z2 Wireless. Their ANC turns on when it detects noise, and the music stops automatically when you take the headphones off your ears. These over-ear headphones also work with the aptX and aptX HD codecs, which help reduce latency and improve sound quality. They can pair with up to two devices at once.
