The Viofo A129 Pro Duo is a dash cam system that features two cameras, as suggested by the inclusion of the word “Duo” in its name. The front camera can record video in Ultra HD 4K quality, but the back camera can only record in Full HD 1080p resolution. Both cameras record at a frame rate of 30 frames per second. Additionally, a GPS module is included in this set.
It is somewhat bulky, but it mounts quite cleanly to the camera that is located on the front of the device. Once attached, it enhances video records by include accurate speed and location data. A tool for neatly tucking the cables under the inside panels of your car, many adhesive clips for running a cable along the windscreen, and a 12V power converter with two USB ports are also included in the box. You can charge your phone and power the dash cam at the same time with this adapter.

Viofo A129 Pro Duo: Design & Features
The hardware isn’t great, and the software isn’t much better. The buttons are a little complicated, since the Record and Mic buttons also move up and down through the menu system. The annoying beep that happens every time you press a button can be turned off, and the Settings menu can also be reached with the Viofo app over Wi-Fi. We like that you don’t have to make an account to use this app, and even though it has a lot of bad reviews on the Apple App Store. You can buy this camera from its official website
Front Camera Video Quality
The front camera is very good. The lens has a Sony Exmor R Starvis image sensor with 8.29 megapixels, which lets it make very clear 4K UHD video at 30 frames per second. Ultra HD is four times as bright as 1080p Full HD, which is a very nice improvement to the quality of video recordings.
Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) and Super Night Vision are two examples of advanced video improvement technologies that work well in both bright and dark settings.
Viofo A129 Pro Duo: Performance
We haven’t been too sure about the idea of a 4K UHD dash cam, mostly because each three minutes of 2160p video take up almost 1GB of space. That’s four times as much as 1080p needs. At that rate, you could use up a 32GB SD card in less than two hours, and if you used it all the time, it would wear out faster. Not only that, but when we first looked at 2160p video from other dash cams, we saw that even though the storage needs went up 400%, there wasn’t much more clarity. Then we saw the front captures on the A129 Pro Duo, and I changed my mind. Without a sharpening filter, its photos show a big rise in detail. See what we mean by looking at the license plate in the first picture. I still think that for everyday use, most people would be better off with 1080p,
Price & availability
The A129 Pro Duo will cost you £229.99/$249.90 if you buy it from Amazon. It can also be bought from Amazon for £169.99/$199.90 without the camera on the back. You can also buy it from Viofo directly. No matter which version you choose, a few things won’t be in the box. First, you’ll need a microSD card. Because 4K video files are so big, you’ll want a card with a lot of room. Even a 128GB card can only hold about 3.5 hours of video if the front camera is set to 4K and the back camera is set to full HD. The most space that can be used is 256GB.
Final Words
Even though the A129 Pro Duo costs a lot more than the A129 Duo, it’s worth it if you really want the extra detail that comes with 4K video. There is also dual-band Wi-Fi, which makes downloading clips to your phone much faster. If we want to be picky, the app could be better, but for the price, the A129 Pro Duo takes great-quality video.

The Bad
- Unattractive
FAQS
We are pretty happy with this because we wanted a dash cam with cams in the front and back to feel more safe in case of an accident. Once we connect my phone to the camera’s Wi-Fi, we also like how easy it is to get footage from my phone. It’s annoying that it doesn’t come with an SD card, but we guess that would make it more expensive.
