Nothing has finally announced the launch of its much-awaited flagship smartphone, the Nothing Phone 3, scheduled for July 2025. The announcement notably comes following the launch of the Nothing Phone (2a) as well as Phone (3a) lineups and is likely to generate some curiosity over the company’s upcoming premium release.
Vivo iQOO Neo 3 Confirmed to Launch in July; Major Specs Upgrades Expected There is not much else that has been shared by the company so far, but the device isn’t far from launching.
CEO Carl Pei also teased an asking price of “around” £800 (about ₹90,000) which suggests a significant jump from the Nothing Phone 2’s launch cost. This indicates that the competition for Phone 3 will come from premium smartphones. Pei emphasized the new level of quality in the materials used, significant performance improvements and tuned software for an overall better user experience.
Rumored specs center on a new triple-camera system (perhaps with a periscope-style telephoto lens for better zoom) – a first for Nothing if true. The smartphone is also believed to come with a 6.77-inch LTPO AMOLED display that has a 120Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits.
Internally, the Nothing Phone 3 could feature a flagship Snapdragon SoC (likely the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or 8s Gen 4) paired with up to 12GB of memory and 512GB of storage. Don’t be surprised if it also packs in a hefty 5,000mAh battery, too, and extensive AI features – both the Circle-to-Search camera function, and an AI Assistant. The signature Glyph interface on the rear end is also rumored to get some design changes.
Google releases NotebookLM for Android and iOS
Google has launched the mobile app for its AI-based research assistant, NotebookLM, on Android and iOS. At the day before the planned Google I/O developer conference, the launch brings the offering to mobile users, who can use the tool to “understand anything, anywhere. NotebookLM used to be only available on desktop.
Elevate is replaced with NotebookLM, and the app offers many of the web version’s core features by allowing users to add content from different sources including PDFs, website URLs, YouTube videos and copied over text from their devices.
A cool feature that the app provides is “Audio overviews,” an AI-created podcast style rendition of the uploaded content for easy learning on the go with offline access and playback background ease.
With this update, mobile users can now create and manage notebooks on their devices. And adding sources is simple via the share icon, which permits users to send stories to NotebookLM from their other apps. The app also points to previously added sources and changes according to the light or dark mode settings of the device.
Notable advanced features from the web version, like audio, markdown, and Google Docs/Slides support, are currently missing from the app, but more features are in development, according to Google. The app also features tools such as topic summaries, AI chat for asking questions on content, and the option to download audio overviews for offline listening. There is an “Interactive” mode which enables users to “join” the AI-generated audio discussion and ask questions.
The basic NotebookLM app is free, and there’s also a premium subscription plan, called “NotebookLM Plus,” with a special offer on Google One AI Premium. This is the paid tier which gives you larger maximums on notebooks, sources per notebook, and audio overviews as well as other premium features.
