The Surface Go 3 is the newest and least expensive tablet from Microsoft. It is made to do basic computing tasks. Even though there are a lot of convertible Windows laptops, 2-in-1s that can be taken apart are still rare and usually cost more. The Surface Go 3 is a good choice because it costs less than the Surface Pro line. It’s also easier to move around, which is how it got its name. The Microsoft Surface Go 3 is mainly a Windows tablet, but with the optional keyboard attachment, it can be turned into a laptop. Think of it as Microsoft’s version of an iPad.

Lenovo Chromebook Duet vs Microsoft Surface Go 3: Design
The Lenovo IdeaPad Duet Chromebook’s design is where it falls short the most. When we tested it, the magnetised kickstand cover and keyboard felt like they were securely attached to the tablet. However, we still pulled the keyboard off by accident or pushed the back cover off while trying to extend the kickstand. These aren’t huge problems, and putting the cover or keyboard back on is all it takes to fix them, but they happen often enough that we can see why some people would get upset.

Lenovo Chromebook Duet vs Microsoft Surface Go 3: Display
When we watched the Fast & Furious 9 trailer on the Chromebook Duet’s 1920 x 1200 pixel, 10.1-inch screen, the picture was clear and the colours were true. Even from a distance, we can see that Dom’s silver chain is made of interlocking links and that his cherry-red tractor is drawn correctly. In the same way, the forest ferns around a humvee were made to look green, and Dom’s long-sleeved shirts looked like they had just come out of the wash. Our colorimeter says that the Chromebook Duet shows 106% of the sRGB spectrum.
The Surface Go 3 does a good job of showing colours, like the red and blue of Spider-suit, Man’s the green of a goblin grenade, and the fire in Doctor Strange’s cold apartment. On the panel, the many glowing characters in the spells that the master of the occult cast also looked clear. The Matrix: Resurrections trailer was also pretty good, and we liked how Neo looked like John Wick. You can buy this iPad from its official website
Lenovo Chromebook Duet vs Microsoft Surface Go 3: Performance
As long as you don’t expect too much, you won’t be let down. Most Chromebooks that cost less than $300 are, let’s say, limited in some ways when it comes to how well they work. The Duet comes with an ARM Mali G73 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. It has an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60T processor that runs at 2GHz (a 128GB version is available). We used a few apps to compare them, and the results were about average.
We got a tablet with a 10th Generation Intel Core i3-10100Y processor and 8GB of RAM, but it was still too slow for me. Maybe this machine is meant to see how patient junior is, but we were at the end of my patience when we tried to write this review with a lot of programmes and windows open at once. As we switched between the 11 Chrome tabs on one screen while a 1080p YouTube video played on the other, there were delays and pauses.
Lenovo Chromebook Duet vs Microsoft Surface Go 3: Battery life
The Chromebook Duet has a lot of battery life, so you can pass it around the family all day. On our web browsing at 150 nits battery test, the Duet lasted 12 hours and 47 minutes, which is longer than the iPad (10:07), the Surface Go 2 (11:38), and the Samsung Chromebook 4. (10:36).
When we used the Surface Go 3 to surf the web, the battery only lasted 6 hours and 50 minutes (with the display at 150 nits of brightness). This is much closer to the 6:06 of the Surface Go than the 11:39 of the Surface Go 2. With a time of 9:06, the Surface Pro 8 lasts longer. But the iPad Air 2020 (10:29) and Chromebook Duet (12:47) lasted even longer in our test, which involves surfing the web over Wi-Fi until the battery dies.
Which one should you buy?
