With the OnePlus 11, the company is sort of getting back to its old ways. After trying its hand at the high-end market, it has once again made a flagship-level phone with the latest Qualcomm processor and excellent build quality. However, it is selling this phone for $699, which is less than the price of other flagship phones.
In North America, it could be a good alternative to Samsung’s newly released Galaxy S23 series and Google’s Pixel 7 series. It could also be one of the best phones of 2023. The OnePlus 11 is the closest to the Pixel 7 Pro of the two phones above. The second one came out at the end of last year for $899, but there are always deals that bring the price down to $799.

OnePlus 11 vs. Google Pixel 7 Pro: Design
The OnePlus 11 and the Pixel 7 Pro look very different from each other, which we find interesting because many smartphones look the same these days. The design is the same as the OnePlus 10 Pro, but the camera module is now a large circle instead of a rectangle like a stovetop.
With a camera bar that spans the width of the phone, the Pixel 7 Pro goes all-in on Google’s latest design style. The bar has both fans and haters. It has metal accents and camera lenses that stand out more. You can get this phone from its official website.
OnePlus 11 vs. Google Pixel 7 Pro: Display
Both phones use Samsung’s E4 OLED display panel technology, which is one of the best on the market (but not the best, as some phones use Samsung’s newer E6 panel). The Pixel 7 Pro’s screen has 1440 x 3120 pixels, while the OnePlus screen has 1440 x 3216. This won’t make a difference, though. Both screens look very clear, and animations at 120Hz will look smooth on both.
Officially, the Pixel 7 Pro has a brighter screen than the OnePlus 11, which can only reach 1,300 nits. However, we couldn’t tell the difference between the two. In fact, we often thought the panel on the OnePlus 11 was brighter because the Pixel’s auto-brightness seems to lower the screen brightness more than usual. OnePlus 11 vs. Google Pixel 7 Pro: Performance
Here, the brains are where the two phones finally start to be different. The latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is used in the OnePlus 11, while Google’s Tensor G2 is used in the Pixel 7 Pro. Technically, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is a more powerful chip, as shown by benchmark numbers and real-world experiences like video rendering.
But Google made the Tensor G2 just for Pixel, so it can handle things like real-time voice dictation on the device and Pixel’s image processing algorithm. In terms of memory, the OnePlus 11 starts with only 8GB of RAM, but you can pay more to get up to 16GB. The Pixel 7 Pro models, on the other hand, all come with 12GB of RAM.
OnePlus 11 vs. Google Pixel 7 Pro: Camera
The OnePlus 11 has a 50-megapixel main camera, a 48-megapixel 115-degree ultra-wide camera, and a 32-megapixel 2x telephoto lens. This is a good set of cameras that can handle a lot of different situations.
The Google Pixel 7 Pro has three cameras as well. In this case, it consists of a 50-megapixel wide camera, a 48-megapixel 120-degree telephoto lens and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide.
We found that the images had a lot of detail, a wide range of brightness, and colours with a lot of contrast. Reds and greens stand out in photos taken during the day, and the exposure levels are always good.
Battery & Software
Both the OnePlus 11 and the Pixel 7 Pro have a large 5,000mAh battery, but the OnePlus 11 has 80W fast wired charging over USB Type-C while the Pixel only has 27W. Both phones run Android 13, but the Pixel 7 Pro has a stock Android interface while the OnePlus 11 runs OxygenOS. When it comes to 5G connectivity, the Pixel 7 Pro supports both mmWave and Sub-6GHz technology, while the OnePlus 11’s network setup is still unclear.
