In this article, we’ll show you how to save Instagram stories in detail. You won’t believe it, but around 1 billion people use the photo-sharing platform at any given time. Over the last few years, Instagram has gone through a lot of changes. It has also added some useful features, like Stories, Instagram Reels, IGTV, and more. Instagram Stories seems to be the most popular of all these features.
For those who don’t know, Instagram Stories is a way to share videos and let people see photos and videos you take throughout the day. After 24 hours, the pictures and videos that have been shared will be gone. You can also add text and drawings to your photos and videos before you share them on Instagram Stories. The only problem is that Instagram doesn’t let people save the stories.

Download the Entire Web Page
- Open the Instagram story you want to capture.
- Right-click on either side of the rectangle where the story is displayed (not on the video or picture but any empty space around it). This will give you a context menu.
- From the menu, select “Save As” or “Save page as” (if you’re using Firefox).
- This will bring up the screen for “Save as.” Here is where you can choose where to save the web page. You can call it anything you want, but I would suggest keeping the “html” extension. Make sure that “Web Page, Complete” is selected as the type of file to save at the bottom of the screen.
- Open file explorer (or any application you use as a file browser). Find where you saved the Instagram Stories page. When you save a whole web page, it makes a folder called “resources” that stores files like images and scripts.
- In the resource folder, there is a list of all the files that make the web page look right. The pictures are what we’re interested in here. I suggest that you sort the files here by type and look at them as either large or extra-large icons. This will let you see a small version of the picture in the story you want.
- 7.Once you’ve found the picture, you can delete the web page and everything else in the resource folder.
Using 4k Stogram
4K Stogram is one of the best Instagram-related cross-platform apps right now. Note, though, that you’ll need to check out the premium version of 4K Stogram in order to download Stories. You need to sign in to your Instagram account from the 4K Stogram software before you can download stories.
Sign in by clicking the profile icon in the upper right corner of the app. Once you’ve done that, go to “Tools > Preferences” to set everything up the way you want, including your download folder and how Instagram content you’ve downloaded is organised, among other things.
Next, in the main box of 4K Stogram, type the name of the account whose Stories you want to download. Then, click the Settings icon next to “Download” and choose “Download Stories.” You can also choose which dates to download stories from.
