The Beats Powerbeats Pro are a big step forward for the Beats headphones, which are made by Apple. They have their limitations (see: lack of noise-cancellation, limited noise isolation and IPX4 rating), but they are Apple’s most premium workout buds. The Powerbeats Pro has the same around-the-ear hook as the rest of the Powerbeats line. This keeps the headphones in place while you work out. That’s very important now that the Powerbeats don’t have a cord behind the neck to keep them in place.
The Powerbeats Pro headphones come with a set of silicone tips in a medium size. They also come with three other sets of silicone tips in small, medium, and large sizes. Each earbud has the same controls, so you can listen with just one earbud in and still pause and play songs, take and reject calls, activate Siri, and change the volume. If you take out an earbud, the music stops, but you can start it up again.

Where to get Powerbeats Pro earbuds?
Even without being able to see them, the controls are very easy to find. This is an important part of working out. Just run your fingers along the earbud and feel for the B logo. Press once to pause or resume playback, twice to skip a track and three times to reverse, and long-press to activate Siri. Each bud has a volume rocker on top of it. The Powerbeats Pro use Apple’s new H1 chip, just like the second-generation AirPods.
This lets both earbuds connect to your phone. Since neither earbud is more important than the other, they are always paired, and you can charge one while you use the other. In the end, we were impressed by the Beats Powerbeats Pro, but they are not the best truly wireless earbuds on the market.
Still, these earbuds don’t block out noise like the AirPods Pro, aren’t water-resistant like the Jaybird Run XT, or sound as good as the Sony WF-1000XM4 earbuds. Still, we think they are the best workout earbuds Apple has made so far because of small details like the earhooks, the pressure-reducing micro-laser barometric venting hole, the longer battery life, and the better sound quality.
