The black enclosure of the Archer A7 is identical to the one seen on the Archer C7 V2 that was evaluated by us the previous year, which may explain why the Archer A7 appears to be familiar. It contains three nonremovable adjustable antennae and a series of LED activity indicators on the front edge for power, both radio bands, the internet, LAN ports, USB, and WPS. Its dimensions are 1.3 inches in height, 9.6 inches in width, and 6.4 inches in depth (HWD).
In addition to the four gigabit LAN ports that are located on the rear of the device, there is also a WAN port, a WPS button, a reset button, a power button, and a USB port. The USB connector only supports the more sluggish 2.0 standard.
The Archer A7 is a dual-band AC1750 router that uses 802.11ac technology and has a processor running at 750MHz. It is capable of reaching maximum speeds of 450Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and 1,300Mbps on the 5GHz band. It is not possible to perform direct-to-client beamforming or MU-MIMO simultaneous data streaming with this device.

Where to get TP-Link AC1750 Smart WiFi Router (Archer A7)?
Installing and managing the router can be done through a web dashboard or through TP-Link’s Tether smartphone app, respectively. The user-friendliness of the web console makes it preferable to the interface that comes with the Archer C7 V2 and is comparable to the one that is used to administer the Archer C2600. The application launches into a screen that displays a menu on the left and a network map on the right. The tabs for Quick Setup, Basic, and Advanced are located at the very top of the screen.
Included in this package are the customary Wi-Fi SSID, password, and internet settings. There are also Parental Controls that allow you to limit access time for devices, as well as other basic features such as Guest Network and USB settings. However, you do not receive the powerful web and application filters that come standard with the Asus RT-AC66U B1, which is sold separately. Additionally, it does not come with the built-in protection against malware that is included in the RT-AC66U B1.
