The Amazfit GTS 2 is the sequel of the Amazfit GTS, which was a square wristwatch that worked with both Android and iPhones and offered the functionality that are typically found on more expensive watches at a lower price point. Huami has given the watch a more polished appearance by maintaining the same crisp, high-quality AMOLED display and encasing it in a more fashionable aluminum and plastic watch case. It is still waterproof up to 50 meters and comes with straps that can be removed and measured 20 millimeters.
A built-in music player has been added to the GTS 2 in order to provide a more robust smartwatch experience. However, the music player will only play your own music, and it can only be uploaded to the watch using the Zepp companion phone app. You can also use the speaker to make phone calls over Bluetooth, and the sound quality is satisfactory. Amazon Alexa and Huami’s very own offline voice assistant are the two digital helpers available to users of the Huami smart speaker. The former was not something we were able to get to function, while the latter is a helpful technique to enable hands-free control of important aspects on the GTS 2.

Additionally, there is a new BioTracker optical sensor that promises to monitor your heart rate continuously, as well as your heart rate while you exercise and blood oxygen levels. From what we’ve seen, tracking daily activities is a far better fit for the device than tracking exercises.

Where to get Amazfit GTS 2?
If software continues to be Amazfit’s Achilles heel, then the device’s battery life will continue to be its most potent advantage. The manufacturer claims that the battery life of the GTS 2 is an astounding seven days, but users may extend that to twenty days by turning on the low-battery mode, which disables many of the device’s functionality. There is a significant catch to this, and that is the fact that the battery life will be cut in half to three or four days if you use the always-on display so that you may see the time without having to unlock your device.
Even so, that is more than sufficient, especially when one takes into account the fact that Apple has only just reached the point where the battery life of an Apple Watch is sufficient to undertake the task of monitoring sleep. The Amazfit GTS 2 is a reasonably intriguing offer thanks to its comprehensive monitoring features and its small form; also, the value for money is difficult to argue against. Nevertheless, value offerings from Fitbit and Apple are getting better, and anyone who is able to afford to spend a little bit more will undoubtedly find that they are rewarded by considerable software advancements from the other brands, at the price of progressively small hardware concessions.
