The less distance you are from it, the less spectacular the design appears. Even taking into account the low-level of quality one should anticipate from a budget laptop, the Asus’s plastic casing has a distinctly low-rent feel. The lid and the deck each have their own unique take on textured plastic. Both are designed to look like brushed metal, but neither is convincing enough to the naked eye or to give the impression of being particularly sturdy.
The TUF Gaming F17 is in no way comparable to what we would classify as a portable machine. This is to be expected. It weighs 5.73 pounds and has HWD dimensions of 0.92 inches by 15.7 inches by 10.6 inches. Even though there are certain 17-inch laptops that are lighter than others, transporting one is still a chore. Naturally, Asus does not pretend that this device is a portable companion that can be taken with the user on a daily basis.
Instead, it markets this product as a desktop replacement that can be transferred from one room to another. To its credit, the AC adapter is a reasonable size, which is a significant improvement over the enormous, brick-like components that are sometimes included with other machines.

Where to get ASUS TUF F17?
One of the USB-A ports has been converted into a USB-C connector, giving the device a total of two USB-C ports, one of which is coupled to a Thunderbolt 4 controller. The ports have remained generally similar to those found on its predecessor, with the noticeable exception of one USB-A port that has been converted into a USB-C port.
In addition, given that the rear sides are equipped with additional fan vents, a small amount of space has been made available in front of each port. others who are right-handed will be relieved to see that the solitary USB port on the device is located on the gadget’s right side, however others who are left-handed are likely to find this arrangement to be awkward.
Additionally, we noted that the device’s headphone jack was situated in an awkwardly close proximity to the USB-A port. Aside from that, the port spacing was satisfactory in general. Because of the relatively dim overall brightness, the black level of this display is quite low, which contributes to the relatively high contrast ratio of this display. The development of illumination is satisfactory at 89%.
