If you’re currently pining for a touch of nostalgia and yearning to revisit the golden era of classic gaming, there’s no need to embark on a quest through your attic in search of a long-forgotten PS1 or a Dreamcast machine gathering dust. A multitude of talented video game developers have undertaken the admirable mission of rejuvenating and breathing new life into these beloved classics. Say farewell to your concerns about scratched discs and the hassle of huffing into cartridges – with the Best Games Remastered, your retro gaming cravings will be thoroughly satisfied.
However, not every remaster lives up to the expectations that were set for it. Some devoted fans are happy to pay the whole price, even though they will only obtain marginally improved resolutions that might not live up to their anticipations. In spite of the fact that there are a few shining instances of effective full remasters on the market, there are also some failures. One notable example is XIII, which sadly was a massive failure and only received 23% good reviews on Steam. This is a very low percentage. Ouch!

Now, even the pickiest players can get to know this old favorite.

Remastered visuals and gameplay | Experience enhanced graphics and improved gameplay mechanics |

If you haven’t played the first three games (which were followed by Andromeda), you have to get this new version. Not to mention that it’s a good chance to play the excellent space-based RPG again. Bioware made a world with well-written stories and characters, a lot of planets to explore, and lots of loot to find.
The fact that the first Mass Effect can finally get the love it deserves is probably the best thing about the new version of the original series. The first Mass Effect came out in 2007, so it has changed a lot since then. Aside from that, neither of the later games got too broken over time and are still mostly usable. Still, it’s nice to see how neat and clean they are. One of the best remakes of a PC game that you should pay attention to.
The Good
- Immersive and rich storytelling in a vast sci-fi universe
- Visually stunning remastered graphics
- Complete Mass Effect trilogy in one package
- Improved combat and mechanics enhance the gameplay experience
The Bad
- Some fans may have personal preferences for the original versions
- Occasional technical issues and bugs during gameplay
