Our guide to the best free blogging platforms can show you the best ways to get your own blog site up and running.

Even though it’s easy to update your blog from your desktop computer or even your phone or tablet, if you’re serious about making a living from writing, you should buy a laptop. The computers we’ve put together here have comfortable keyboards that will make it easy to type long blog posts. They’re also thin, light, and have long battery lives, so you can update your blog wherever you want.

I had never thought about blogging before this summer, when I chose to take a trip to Santorini Island. I took my camera to take pictures of the beautiful scenery and my Asus, which is great for traveling, to edit the pictures I took. I was so amazed by the beauty of Santorini that I decided to write a blog about it.

After that, sharing my experiences became a permanent hobby, and I started writing whenever I went to a tourist spot. But when I made my first blog on my Asus VivoBook S15, which is one of the best laptops for blogging, its stylish design and bright screen gave me jaw-dropping results when I added a picture of the Santorini Mountains and an attractive white building to it.

The Good

  1. Price is reasonable for the features it has
  2. Large display for enhanced productivity
  3. Plenty of space to store files and data
  4. Stylish design with vibrant color options

The Bad

  1. Relatively shorter battery life
  2. Slightly heavier compared to some other models

People often think that just because a laptop is for writing, it has to be fancy. But from what I’ve seen, blogging software is designed to work well on cheap computers without making big jumps. The Acer Aspire R15, which I use, is one of the best laptops I’ve seen for writing.

Even though my model doesn’t have an SSD and only has 8 GB of RAM, it still works well for tasks, like editing photos in Adobe and making blogs. A graphics chip is also cheap, but it’s not very useful for writing blogs. For video editing, though, you need a more powerful graphics chip.

The Good

  1. Generous amount of RAM for smooth multitasking
  2. Dual storage options for enhanced flexibility
  3. Large and vibrant display for immersive visuals
  4. Decent battery life for on-the-go usage

The Bad

  1. Relatively heavier and bulkier design
  2. Traditional HDD storage may impact overall system performance

FAQs

What are the most important features to consider when choosing a laptop for blogging?

The most important features to consider when choosing a laptop for blogging include a comfortable keyboard for typing, a high-resolution display for editing photos and videos, a long battery life for on-the-go work, and a fast processor for handling multiple applications at once. Additionally, you may want to consider factors such as weight, portability, and storage capacity.

Should I go for a Mac or a PC for blogging?

Both Mac and PC laptops can be excellent choices for blogging, depending on your needs and preferences. Macs are known for their sleek design, ease of use, and reliability, while PCs are typically more customizable and offer a wider range of hardware options. Ultimately, the choice between a Mac or a PC comes down to personal preference and the specific requirements of your blogging work.

How much storage do I need for a blogging laptop?

The amount of storage you need for a blogging laptop depends on the types of content you create and how much data you typically store on your computer. If you work primarily with text and don’t need to store large media files, a laptop with 256GB or 512GB of storage should be sufficient. However, if you work with a lot of photos and videos, you may want to opt for a laptop with 1TB or more of storage.
