Try one of the best robot mops if you want to help out your robot vacuum cleaner. These cool little gadgets are made to make your floors look even better after you’ve just vacuumed them. Basically, they want to take the place of your mop and bucket by cleaning your hard floors with a damp cloth as they move from room to room.
This includes testing how well it picks up dry debris on hard floors and carpets, how well it picks up things in our two-room obstacle course, and how long the battery lasts. The robot mops below were chosen based on our experience with each brand and a thorough analysis of product information, videos, and information from the manufacturers.
ECOVACS DEEBOT X1 Omni Robot Vacuum
Specification
Product Dimensions | 16.9 x 17.6 x 22.8 inches |
Item Weight | 53.9 pounds |
Manufacturer | ECOVACS |
Control Method | Voice |
Batteries | 1 Lithium Ion batteries required. (included) |
The most expensive floor-cleaning robot we’ve tried is the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni, but it’s also the most advanced. Its large charging station has a clean water tank, a dirty water tank, and a dust chamber as its three main parts. When mopping, it uses two spinning pads in a circle to scrub your hard floors with water until they shine.
When it’s done, it automatically dumps out the dirty water, cleans its pads, dries them with hot air, and fills itself with clean water. The X1 Omni needs much less maintenance than other two-in-one robotic floor cleaners because it can clean its own mop pad, refill its own water tank, and empty its own trash can.
Pros
- Self-emptying dustbin
- Self-washing, drying, and refilling mop
- Built-in voice assistant
- Carpet sensor
Cons
- Expensive
- Large base

Item Weight | 37.9 pounds |
Batteries | 1 Lithium Ion batteries required. (included) |
Power Source | Battery Powered |

Two of the most advanced robots for cleaning floors are the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra and the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni. Like Ecovacs’ competitor, this high-end hybrid can do it all: it vacuums and mops your floors, then cleans itself so it’s always ready for the next run without you having to do anything.
If you are trying to decide between the S7 MaxV Ultra and the X1 Omni, choose the S7 MaxV Ultra if your hard floors tend to get dirty. Roborock’s model uses sonic vibrations to scrub your floors 3,000 times per minute, while the X1 Omni’s circular mopping pads only spin at 180 revolutions per minute.
Pros
- Self-washing and refilling mop
- Self-emptying dustbin
- AI-powered obstacle avoidance
- Carpet sensor and mop-lifting feature
- Best-in-class mopping performance

Bissell SpinWave Wet and Dry Robotic Vacuum
Specification
Package Dimensions | 25.25 x 16 x 5.25 inches |
Item Weight | 7.5 pounds |
Manufacturer | BISSELL |
Batteries | 1 Lithium Ion batteries required. (included) |
Battery Life | 130 minutes |
Bissell has been making upright wet and dry vacuums for a long time, but the SpinWave Wet and Dry is the company’s first model that combines both types. It works quickly and quietly, sucking up pet hair and dust from hard floors and low-pile carpeting. If you change the trash can for a water tank, the robot can move quickly around hard floors and clean them with its two spinning mopping pads.
Bissell also sells a number of different cleaning formulas for this robot, such as multi-surface, pet multi-surface with Febreze, and sanitising formulas. Plus, when mopping, the SpinWave Wet and Dry can automatically find carpets and area rugs and steer clear of them. This is a feature that we usually only see on much more expensive models. The Bissell SpinWave Wet and Dry is a great choice if you want a good midrange hybrid that works best as a mop.
Pros
- Mops and vacuums
- Works with cleaning solution
- Automatically avoids carpet when mopping
- Quiet
Cons
- No mapping features or voice control
- Robot got stuck on some furniture in testing
iRobot Braava Jet M6 Robot Mop
Specification
Product Dimensions | 10 x 10.6 x 3.5 inches |
Item Weight | 4.85 pounds |
Manufacturer | iRobot |
Batteries | 1 Lithium Ion batteries required. (included) |
Battery Life | 150 minutes |
The Braava Jet M6 robot mop from iRobot is a great match for the brand’s many robot vacuums. When we test their vacuums, they always do well, and the first version of this mop that we tested was no different. Online reviewers love how quiet and well it cleans, but many have said that it takes too long to finish a cleaning session.
The Braava’s square shape lets it clean deep into corners and along baseboards as well. It can be used with warm water, which makes it easier to get dirt and stains off the floor. When the battery needs to be charged or the water tank needs to be refilled, Braava goes back to its charging dock. When it’s ready to go out again, it starts cleaning again.
Pros
- Cleans up to 1,000 square feet on a single charge
- Can be paired with many iRobot robot vacs to mop after vacuuming
- Square shape removes grime from deep corners
Cons
- Sweeps but doesn’t vacuum
eufy RoboVac L70 Hybrid
Specification
Product Dimensions | 14.02 x 14.02 x 4.02 inches |
Item Weight | 12.67 pounds |
Manufacturer | eufy |
Batteries | 1 Lithium Ion batteries required. (included) |
Power Source | Corded Electric, Battery Powered |
We haven’t tested the Eufy L70 Hybrid robot vacuum and mop, but we like its laser navigation, real-time mapping to help it find the best route, and easy-to-use app. The L70 can tell when it’s on a hard floor or a carpet. When it’s on a hard floor, the vacuum’s suction is stronger, and when it’s on a carpet, the L70 can avoid it.
For extra safety, you can also use the app to set no-mop boundaries around any areas you don’t want the Eufy to clean. Also, the app lets you set up cleaning schedules, choose which rooms to clean, turn on spot cleaning or mopping-only cleaning, and change the amount of suction power and mopping flow.
Pros
- Uses washable filters
- Attachable waterproof mat
- According to reviews, easy to empty dustbin
Cons
- May not fit under low furniture
ILIFE Shinebot W400 Robot
Specification
Product Dimensions | 11.1 x 11.5 x 4.65 inches |
Item Weight | 7.26 pounds |
Manufacturer | ILIFE |
Batteries | 1 Lithium Ion batteries required. (included) |
Power Source | Battery Powered |
The iLife Shinebot W400 is just right in terms of price and how well it works. Even though it only uses tap water to clean your floors, we were surprised by how much dirt it got up. Even better, the ship’s clean and dirty water tanks let us see exactly how much dirt was being cleaned.
The Shinebot W400 is good at mopping because it has a reusable microfiber brush roll that scrubs away dirt and a rubber scraper squeegee that helps get rid of dirty water and other debris. The Shinebot W400 was also a well-behaved robot mop. During our tests, it never went on even the thinnest rug.
Pros
- Good cleaning performance
- Dirty water tank captures dirt and grime
- Reusable microfiber brush roll
Cons
- Cumbersome cleaning process after use
- Bulky in size
FAQs
Do robotic mops really work?
They are good at getting into hard-to-reach places. With a manual mop, it can be hard to get under tables and around other things. Robot mops don’t have much of a problem with that. They are also set up to get as close as possible to the floorboards so they don’t miss walls or corners.
Are robot vacuum-mop combos worth it?
Yes, robot vacuums with mops are worth the money because they take up less space and clean floors automatically. Some people think that having products that do one thing well is better, which may or may not be true. But it is hard to beat the convenience of having both in one device.
Which is better Samsung Jet mop or iRobot?
The side brush on the Roomba gave it the edge over the Samsung. The Jet Bot doesn’t have a side brush, but its square shape lets it get closer to edges. The Roomba also had more power and picked up some smaller pieces of dirt that the Samsung missed. But the Roomba can take a beating.
Are floor robots worth it?
The best way to keep your floors clean is with a robot vacuum, but they need more help than you might think. Our family (finally) paid for our first robot vacuum a few years ago, and I can say without a doubt that it was well worth the money.
