Google Chrome started out as the browser with the least amount of extra stuff. It was fast and easy to use Remove Chrome Notification Bell From Mac Menu Bar, but most of the features and buttons that other browsers had were taken away. But it’s fine. It taught us to love the web on its own and that the browser is best as a simple chrome that does nothing but display websites and web apps.
Then, out of the blue, Google added a notification icon to the menu bar without asking if we wanted it or making it clear how to turn it off. If you like keeping your Mac menu bar clean like I do, this is more than just annoying it’s almost enough to make you not want to use Chrome at all.
The new notifications center is meant to show you all the browser notifications you missed, as well as Google Now notification cards that you would normally get on your Android phone or in the Google app on iOS.

You will receive notifications in the bell icon whenever someone: You will receive bell notifications when someone will.
By default, Chrome alerts you whenever a website, app, or extension wants to send you notifications. You can change this setting at any time. When you browse sites with intrusive or misleading notifications, Chrome automatically blocks notifications and recommends you continue to block these notifications.
