At the 2022 Samsung Unpacked event, the Galaxy S22 Ultra model got all the attention. However, the Galaxy S22 Plus might be the better big-screen phone for the average user. The Galaxy S22 Plus doesn’t have all the features of the Ultra model, but that’s what makes it special: if you don’t use a S Pen often, you probably won’t want one in your phone, and not having one means you get a phone that is much lighter and not as big, so you can carry it in your pocket. The S22+ has a slim and well-built design, a beautiful screen, software with lots of features, and better cameras.

Where to get Samsung Galaxy S22+ Smartphone?
[content-egg-block template=offers_logo hide=price]The S22+ is the S22’s bigger brother or sister. Unless you look at them side by side, you won’t notice the extra 0.5 inches of screen space, and the S22+ doesn’t look any different in any other way. It’s a nice-looking phone, and the edges are rounded so it’s easy to hold. It comes in many different colors, including Phantom Black, Phantom White, Green, Burgundy, and Graphite, Sky Blue, and Red if you buy it from Samsung’s online store.
The S22+ is very well made and feels very sturdy. It doesn’t bend at all, which is mostly because of its aluminum middle frame. Since it is much bigger than some previous Samsung designs, we can only assume that it is doing its structural job of holding the glass “sandwich” of the whole assembly together even better. Samsung’s particular mix of aluminum alloys is called “Armour Aluminum” frame. If this name sounds familiar, it’s because Samsung has already used this type of aluminum in its foldable phones, the Z Fold3 5G and Z Flip3 5G, which it says are 10% more durable.
With its flat 6.6-inch AMOLED screen and new, angular frame, the phone looks and feels more like an iPhone than any Galaxy device in recent memory, which is a good thing. Even though it’s a few grams lighter and a bit shorter than its predecessor, it feels much better.
The S22+ has a 12 MP ultrawide, 50 MP wide angle, and 10 MP telephoto camera on the back. The front camera is 10 MP. We think the super-detailed wide-angle camera is what gives the overall sharp look that made us wonder.
The battery in the S22 Plus is 4,500mAh, which is much smaller than the battery in the S21 Plus, which is 4,800mAh. That’s a size drop of almost 6%, and we do think that this will also lead to a shorter battery life. Last year’s model lasted comfortably through longer days, so the S22 Plus should still be able to be used for a full day even with more intense use.
