The Arlo Ultra 2 is one of the best wireless home security cameras we’ve tried. It has a built-in spotlight that lets it record color video with great detail both during the day and at night. The weatherproof camera can be powered by batteries or wired in. It has a lot of AI-based features that can figure out what caused a motion warning and even track the subject so they are always in the frame. But it’s so expensive that your eyes will pop out, and you’ll still have to pay for a contract.
The Arlo Ultra 2 has the same sleek, black-and-white look as Arlo’s other home security cameras. The rechargeable battery is in a glossy white case that can be taken off in one piece. The 180-degree lens and an LED flashlight are on the sleek black face. It’s a fairly small home security camera, measuring 3.5 x 2 x 3 inches (8.9 x 5.2 x 7.8cm) in height, width, and depth. It’s also waterproof.

Where to get Arlo Ultra 2 Spotlight Camera?
On the bottom of the camera are connector pins for a magnetic charging cable, if you’d rather hard-wire the Ultra 2, as well as a button that lets you take off the case. On the back is a connector for the screw mount, if you want to put the camera on the wall. The Ultra 2 can also be put in place with a magnetic base that comes in the box. This is less secure than the screw mount, though, because the camera is easy to take off. You can also use the camera on its own, without any of the mounts.
As we’ve already said, the Arlo Ultra 2 cameras link to the internet through a SmartHub that plugs into your router. This glossy white hub, which is 15.2 x 12 x 5.3 cm (h x w x d) and measures 6 x 4.7 x 2.1 inches (h x w x d), matches the design of the Ultra 2 cameras.
If you don’t want to subscribe to Arlo Smart, you can store the camera’s video locally on a microSD card. It has a power port and an Ethernet port, and when you set it up, you’ll connect it to your Wi-Fi network. Setting up the Arlo Ultra 2 is not too hard. Once we downloaded the Arlo app, it walked us through all of the setup steps, such as connecting the SmartHub to our computer, putting the battery in the camera, and pairing the two.
