The Beats Solo3 Wireless headphones are old, but they still work well with iPhones thanks to the W1 chip and AAC support. If you like Siri, you might want to look into the noise-canceling Beats Solo Pro on-ear headphones. Otherwise, the Beats Solo3 Wireless still works well, though a few of its features are starting to show their age.
Like other Beats headphones, the Beats Solo3 Wireless has a wireless design. Our first review unit was black and shiny, which made it easy to get fingerprints on. But our latest matte-grey model resists oil smudges well but is still easy to scratch. The hard plastic looks like it could last, but the springs and how flexible the headband is make me worry. The foam ear pads are wrapped in pleather, which makes these a good choice for vegans.

Where to get Beats Solo3 Wireless On-Ear Headphones?
People who get tension headaches may have trouble with clamping force. The on-ear design puts too much pressure on the ears to keep the headset in place and isolate the user from their surroundings. If you wear glasses, you should skip on-ears and do yourself a favor. With earbuds or over-ear headphones, you’ll be much more comfy.
This type, like all stereo Bluetooth headphones, has a built-in microphone for making calls. Call quality was good, but the Studio Wireless is better in this area. Some headphones in this price range, like the Studio Wireless, improve how well you can talk on the phone and have noise-canceling features that block out background noise so people on the phone can hear you better. This Beats doesn’t belong in that group.
For phone calls, the Beats Solo 3 Wireless are just okay. Their built-in mic works well enough for recording, and your voice sounds realistic, even if it’s a little thin and muffled. But it has trouble separating your voice from even mild noise, so you might need to take calls in quieter places. The noise around you is also hard to block out with these headphones, making it hard to hear the person on the other end of the line.
