When you think of a pair of Sony wireless earbuds, you probably think of one of its high-performance models, which can also be expensive. Not always, though. Every once in a while, the tech giant comes out with a design that is a great brand experience but costs much less than their current flagship in-ears (WF-1000XM4).
The WF-C500 are that model, and even though they are affordable, they have a lot of useful features, like 360 Reality Audio, Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) Extreme, and support for the Sony Headphones Connect app. Not all of Sony’s high-end features made the cut, like active noise cancellation, LDAC support, and smart controls. The charging case also doesn’t hold much power. Still, the package as a whole is a great deal and too good to pass up.

Where to get Sony WF-C500 Earbud?
The WF-C500 earbuds come with a small, solid charging case that adds some bulk to a pocket but won’t slow you down. It stays flat and stable on its long side whether it’s open or closed. However, if you drop it, the lid will open and one or both of the buds may come out. Magnets inside the case hold the earbuds in place so they don’t move around. You need the case to charge the buds, so don’t lose it.
Total battery life is just 20 hours, which isn’t great, but the 10 hours stored in the earbuds isn’t bad at all. You can turn fast charging on or off, and a quick 10-minute burst of power will give you another hour of playback. A short USB-C to USB-A cable is included in the packaging for this purpose. The WF-C500 connects wirelessly using Bluetooth 5, and once your digital audio information is on board, a pair of 6mm full-range drivers play it back.
IPX4 makes them nicely resistant to moisture and splashes of water, and the fact that you can choose from four colors (including bright green and orange as well as black and white) is also nice. When you add “fast pair” connectivity with Android devices and “swift pair” connectivity with Windows 10 PCs, you have a product with a lot of great features.
