Samsung’s press releases say that the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is 10.5 millimetres thick, which is a ridiculously false claim. The company does say in a footnote, though, that this measurement does not take the health sensors into account. According to my tape measure, the health sensors add about 4.5 millimetres to the thickness of the watch and can’t be taken off. Samsung may not have included them because the company was afraid that customers would not like how thick the watch was.
However, despite the lie, my grey titanium model still looks pretty stylish. Because the black sensor undercarriage blends in with the background from my point of view, the only part I can really make out is the 10.5mm part. The all-black model is probably more appealing to some people because it is uniform, but I personally think it is too boring and looks like a lot of other fitness watches.

In the first three Galaxy Watches, Samsung utilised the same Exynos chip. However, with the Galaxy Watch 4, the company upgraded to the Exynos W920. It is possible that you will look at Samsung with a suspicious eye because they have decided to bring back the same chip this year. However, watch chips do not advance at the same rapid pace as phone chips, and Apple is guilty of the same practice. It would not come as a surprise to me if Samsung used the same chip and 1.5GB of memory in the Galaxy Watch 6 as well, so if you are concerned about the device’s performance over the long term, you should not delay purchasing it.

Because of this, why does it cost so much more?
