Kodi also allows you to listen to music, watch movies and TV Shows and also view pictures. Kodi also allows to pirate content. When we combine Roku and Kodi, we get an amazing experience.
Why Does Roku not Support Kodi?
Roku doesn’t natively support Kodi as it is a native C/C++ application and on the other hand, to run apps on Roku, it requires Roku SDK which is based on Roku’s BrightScript language. Hence we have to get other workarounds to run Kodi Application on Roku Platform

While there is no direct support (native support) for Kodi on Roku but there is a workaround that will give a similar experience of Kodi on Roku. We will be using mirroring software (miracast) to stream a device that supports Kodi and mirror the device onto Roku which will provide you with a good experience, and it will almost feel seamless. How to Install Kodi on Roku?
- Using a Windows PC
In this process, we require a Windows PC (with Kodi Installed) and a Roku streaming box.
1 – Turn on Roku and Connect it to the TV.
2 – Press Home Button on Roku Remote.
3 – Check the system version. If your version if below 5.1, please upgrade it. If your version is 5.1 or above it, please proceed to the next step.
4 – Select Screen Mirroring and enable it by pressing OK.
5 – Go to your Windows Machine and press the windows key.
6 – Locate Device Settings
7 – Click on Add Device
8 – Select Roku 3
9 – Open Kodi Software - Using an Android Phone
1 – Turn on Roku and Connect it to a TV.
2 – Press Home Button on Roku Remote.
3 – Check system version. If your version if below 5.1, please upgrade it. If your version is 5.1 or above it, please proceed to the next step.
4 – Select Screen Mirroring and enable it by pressing OK.
5 – Go to Mobile, open settings
6 – Go to Miracast and enable it
7 – Open Kodi application
Note: Please note that you should be on the same WiFi network the Roku is on.
