As we all know that the Lenovo A6000 smartphone is the largest selling 4G smartphone in India. At its price, it offers 8MP rear and 2MP front camera with 4G connectivity and much more.
Today, in this tutorial, we show you How to install latest Android 5 Lollipop on Lenovo A6000. But before moving ahead with the process, first of all, you need to root your A6000 smartphone and install the Custom Recovery on your smartphone.

Download required ADB and Fastboot driver
Download Lenovo A6000 root recovery zip file

How to install Custom Recovery on the Device
Step 1. First of all connect your Lenovo A6000 smartphone to the PC through USB cable.
Step 2. Now copy the downloaded recovery-yu.img file and paste it to C: Program Files (x86)Minimal ADB and fast boot or C: Program Files minimal ADB and Fastboot folder.
Step 3. Now locate the C: Program Files (x86)Minimal ADB and Fastboot listing and open them.
Step 4. After this steps now open the command prompt window from the reby compressing and hold ctrl + Shift keys together and right click.
Step 5. Now here type adb devices and hit ‘enter’.
Step 6. This will show all the connected devices. If your phone’s serial number seems in the list, go ahead. If not, re-install your phone’s driver files again.
Step 7. Type shell adb reboot bootloader on the command shell.
Step 8. Now this command will reboot your A6000 device into Bootloader Mode / Fastboot Mode.
Step 9. Type fast boot recovery.img> fast boot reboot
Step 10. That’s it! Now your device A6000 will reboot with the custom recovery installed.

How to Root Lenovo A6000
Step 1. First of all download the Root-SuperSU-v2.37.zip file.
Step 2. Now copy the file onto the SD Card of your Lenovo A6000 device.
Step 3. Now switch off your device and then restart it in recovery mode after 8-10 seconds by holding and pressing the power and down volume buttons with together. Once the Lenovo logo appears, release the buttons.
Step 4. Now locate the Install Zip from External storage and browse to the location and you have to download the Root-SuperSU-v2.37.zip.
Step 5. Once this process finished then navigate to ‘Go back’ menu and select reboot system to reboot the phone.
Step 6. That’s it! Now your A6000 device has been successfully rooted and enjoy android Lollipop 5.
