Acer Swift 5 Review: The Acer Swift 5 is the second-tier model in Acer’s latest laptop lineup, sitting beneath the ultra-thin Swift 7. That is still a premium, slim and lightweight laptop, however. Design

Acer has steered clear of the lightweight and classic thin laptop look of anodized aluminum. While the keyboard surround is in truth anodized aluminum with a brushed black finish. Keyboard and Touchpad

On the entire, the 14-inch Full HD display on this laptop is excellent. With a maximum brightness of 345 units, it’s plenty bright sufficient for use outside or in different well-lit environments.

Audio and Graphics

Acer makes grand declarations about this laptop’s audio, and largely it lives as much as them. A lot of the legwork is put in by Dolby Audio software, which tweaks the signal being sent to the speakers to better optimize for them being inherently weak.

The Intel HD Graphics 620 (GT2) is a built-in graphics unit, which can be found in varied ULV (Ultra Low Voltage) processors of the Kaby Lake generation.

Hardware and Performance

One thing this laptop pretty many nails is battery capacity. Around 10 hours is desirable in an ultraportable similar to this, and the Swift 5 managed 9hrs, 25minutes in our test, that runs a loop off web browsing and video watching while the screen is ready to a brightness of 150 units.

Conclusion

Successful mixture: Acer combines elegant design with enough efficiency, however, doesn’t forget the important emissions. We liked the elegant chassis design with the extremely thin bezels in particular. The equipment of the Swift 5 is very balanced, and the processor can almost utilize its maximum efficiency under load, which can’t be mentioned for the comparison devices.
